Takako usually takes good videos, she is always at Asterism shows! I do agree with you with the quality sounding not so good! Nevertheless, Hal-Ca is my favorite guitarist today and I hope to see them live someday! I appreciate your honesty everytime you react!
Hal-Ca aways amazes me. Its a shame that is not possible to hear Maki singing, she have a powerfull rocker voice! Love her singing style.
Hal-Ca is in my top 10 of best Japanese female guitarists.
She has become my favourite Japanese guitarist actually.
I love the way she performs, she shows a lot of passion and fire in her playing. I would probably give Miyu the nod as my favourite member of Asterism, but it's a very close call with Hal-ca. It's just because I tend to gravitate towards bass and drums over guitar in most music. They are both amazing though (and Mio on drums is very good as well).
Asterism has also become my second favourite Japanese band and is actually relatively close to my number one Band-Maid.
I really hope they can continue to grow.

I watched the video for the vocalist, Maki Oyama, and was disappointed she wasn't better represented. Like you said, it wasn't the fault of the band, but its unfortunate you couldn't hear her better. She reminds me of a Japanese Doro Pesch. She's been a touring vocalist with Aldious and has her own solo projects. I hope you get a chance to hear a proper recording of her at some point.
Fair enough, first of all, it's a phone recording, and the quality is very poor, and then it's a cover, which limits their ability, so i recommend their original:《church》and《then&now》live in studio🤘🏻
It's SO refreshing to listen to honest reactions with no sugar coating . Too many reactors seem to be afraid of upsetting those who are watching ( or in some cases the bands ) . Plus it's always difficult to do a first reaction to a crap video with poor sound quality . Asterism are a great band - but this wasn't their finest hour

of hearing abilities (sometimes respected query authors need to take a more careful approach to choosing content for David's reactions, I think)
Much prefer the instrumental songs such as Church, Dawn, Gunfire or Blaze.
You are right about the singer in this video, which is a shame as she maybe one of the best singers in Japan. So try this one by her.

I watched the Asterism video for Maki. I watched her other acoustic cover videos, which I though were excellent, man but that guitar player blew me away so I always watch the video now. You should react to her acoustic covers of rock/metal song videos. She's a fantastic singer and she also has been the guest vocalist for Aldious on their last tour and for their upcoming tour. She is also the vocalist for a group called The Down Dope Squad which is made up of female musicians from other bands.
David, I know you are very greatful to your fanbase and you try to be as diplomatic as you can be. But I have a question to your requesters. And for your own policy on your own channel. Can you (no idea how, but...) at least to "fore-checking" of the songs you receive requests to react to? I have a strange feeling that people really troll you. They request to react to obviously irrelevant videos of many great bands. And there is NO WAY the requesters have ANY interest in some of these strangely requested videos. I feel very sad for you when you do requests on videos that are MEANT just to make you suffer while you trying to find anything to say. More to that. There are bands that you really want to hear. And you really want to see their good work. ANd instead of getting that good work you brake your heart having to be objective and and give low scores for the bands you appreciate just because the requesters have a strange idea of fun playing on your sincere high expectations.
I wish there was a way to go about doing "quality control". However, if I did that and I disqualified videos that were specifically requested (no matter how poor or bad they might be), that would compromise the integrity of the channel....and I just can't do that. I'm well aware that there are going to be videos and songs that are specifically requested to watch me suffer and squirm....like Michael Caine said, "Some men just want to watch the world burn". But I'm not going to compromise the integrity of either the channel or myself by "previewing" the videos. Trust me, I understand your frustration, just keep in mind that my opinion of Asterism hasn't changed at all from this video. I know they had no control over the filming or the sound quality or the angles or anything of the sort. I still hold them in very high regard as top notch musicians, regardless of the amateur video that was presented by a fan.
@@THEDavidHeretic I am glad you still highly praise asterism, there is no doubt you are a man of principals. But you are human ) I watched your latest review for Lovebites and there was no doubt you were feeling relieved after "not so good impression" you got after their previous clip you had to give the lowest score you gave them. As a teacher in school breaks his heart giving low grades to his most talented pupils. Yes, the Objectivity is the goal and you will not sacrifice your objectivity for any reason, but as I watched your review of lovebites i felt that not only the "redeem" factor is there but it prevails over all other aspects (which is very Human). What I try to say that even if you realize that the band itself has nothing to do with the quality of fan-made videos - Emotional response is inevitable. Let me continue my thoughts with a comparison to some vocal shows like the Voice. The judges their on blind auditions do not see the contestant. Alll they have is the sound and they need to judge being separated from the "showmanship" aspect. I once saw that there was a blind woman singing. But judges could not take into account that she has no vision and when they turned around you should have seen their faces realizing they rejected her. Objectivity was there but Emotional response is also a Factor as the impression we get from Music is subjective also. Only robots can (and should) be totally objective. Anyway - keep up the good work and I wish you many many joyful moments on your channel. But if anyone still reads my comment - please, dont send David requests for the clips you dont think are something special. He has not got all the time in the world to review absolutely everything so can we all be more delicate to make his presence in the LiveAir less painful and more wonderful and amazing?

Everything was good and David just so you know there has been a fake profile of you going around telling people in the fanbase that they have won prizes and won giveaways I got two comments from the same profile saying that and I reported them but I don't want anyone in the fan base to get fooled and I just thought I would let you know

You should listen to some of their original songs on their channel, even if people are not paying you money to do so.
I'll never understand why people keep recommending this crappy fancam stuff, it doesn't do the band justice. Though Takago has so many great videos on his channel, but not this one.
It seems you need good shot video for you scoring, and you seems choose wrong video, this only a fan cam video.
There are plenty videos of them playing live with pro-shot video in their official channels.

this is a poor quality video. If you want to react to something amazing again take "Church" (live in Studio) Best song from their last album. Amazing 7 string bass action. And Amazing guitar solos later again.
