One of the details that I love about this scene is that Jay was holding himself back until Chad pushed Evie away from him. Seeing Evie get mistreated was what pushed Jay over the edge. It shows just how protective he is of his friends and I love that.

I am normally researching about royal families and using it to write my stories I have a felling that Ben and evie could be half siblings, Ben's father divorced evies mom, locked her up on an island as he thought she was cheating on him. But in reality all these accusation made against her were false, evies mom did make a lot of enemies when she was queen. Eveies mom often interfered with the royal duties at court by saying her opinions

Chad is my favorite character from Descendants. And I think he is a very misunderstood and unfairly hated character. Speaking seriously and stating my reasons, he's actually not that bad. He just wanted to protect his friends from the villains. Although we must not judge by the origins, being Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos children of who they were, it was reasonable to distrust them. Besides, he was right in what he told them. He said Mal stole another girl's boyfriend and yes, that's right, Mal stole Ben from Audrey. He said Jay enjoyed hurting and well .. at least back then it was true if not he made it evident with all the guys he hit and knocked down when he auditioned for the team. And with Evie he told him that he only cared about money and cheating. I love Evie, I clarify, she is my favorite of the four villains and I admire her, but she mentioned several times that she came to Auradon with the purpose of marrying a prince to become a queen. At least back then it was true. His intentions were not really bad, I tell you, he wanted to protect his friends, although he did not carry it out in the best way, but that alone was not so serious that they consider him so terribly bad and hate him with all their soul .
