I’m a retired Canadian owner operator that ran the Midwest. Seeing the truck stops brings back many good memories. However I am also looking at the snow that we just got a little north of you. Hopefully we will finish packing tomorrow for Florida. A big thanks to the bookkeeper (wife) for making that happen. Thanks for taking the time to share your journey. A very real presentation of what an owner operator needs to do to be successful.
Looks Like 👍 you need to Send the Owner of the Airplane Jacks an Invoice for the Clean-up Fees you Incurred. Tell them to use a Train Car to Ship next time. 😬👍
@ 2:10 & 8:22..Bailey brought a smile to my face, the latter ‘Dad!!! Hurry Up!!’ Safe Travels. Give Miss Bailey a hug, smooches, & scratches behind both ears.
Dan Dan the Professional flat deck man. Another fine video. I think there is a few of us that have not been to Buffalo NY in awhile, going to keep it that way. Was never a fan of Buffalo in a Semi or a 4 wheeler which I have done many times as both. Your knowledge of where things are at and where you can get things done for the truck takes years to accumulate which you have. There is a dying breed of real truck drivers out there Dan. The old gear jammers are getting fewer as time goes on. any who Dan have a great and a safe day happy trails.
As I remember the aircraft jacks, they need a bit of pressure on the quick disconnect coupling to stop them from leaking, so if you put a narrow tiedown strap over the top and then a couple of pumps on the jack itself, it should leak or leak very little. Drive Safe Dan.
I was born and raised in Perrysburg Ohio and the family farm still sits off the 80 at the 75/23/80 split. Get off there hit 75 south to 795 east turn right or south on Lime City are and you’ll not get to the bottom of the bridge before you hit the driveway. And we still own and family lives on the farm. However the development of the whole area has forced us out of Farming. You made my whole day no one talks about our little town.
Good Afternoon. Its a great pleasure to follow you on your many places that you travel to each week. This is the first time that I have written you and I enjoy keeping up with you. I drove over the road for thirty years before I had health problems and had to give it up. I travel about 50,000 miles each year in a 15 passenger van and I have a lot of respect to each and every truck driver traveling across this great country. Keep up the good work and may you and Bailey be safe on your many places that you go.
Said this before, but having that big cab is convenience. When you stop, especially in crap weather, you can still slide back there, work on the computer, make food and relax and watch some videos. Plus take a shower! Nice.
Great video Dan, Bailey was cute as can be with her stick 🐶🙂 You mentioned that people were commenting on your need for a water heater......HELLO....the man pretty much lives in his rig, and those charges for showers at truck stops definitely add up! Why do they care to begin with?
Curious Dan, Do ya get reimbursed/write off truck washes? Thought once in awhile you would wash it yourself? Oil changes with disposal etc is easier and usually comes due when you are out on road. But ya could build ya shop at home. Appreciate ya taking us along and thanks serving this great nation and keeping products coming to customers.
Hey Dan it’s Yvonne James from Apache junction, AZ!! Just wanted to make sure you and Bailey have enough warm blankets and supplies on board the truck. Take care and stay warm!!
Trucking habits don't die. When you said you were going to New York I automatically think do I have my NY sticker on (as if I'm going there)? Then while your waiting to pull in the Speedco I see you watching the door go up. The Army always taught me, don't even think of starting in until the door is all the way up and stopped. The Ohio service plazas are nice. The only gripe I have is everything closes at sun down it seems.
Those EZ pass transponders can be a pain in the butt. I once had a NY toll collector take mine and bang it on the wall of the toll booth and then it worked . Go figure. LOL it really happened in the Bronx.
truck n trailer looking good Dan, That's a bumber get oil on the trailer , Bailey she's ready to drag that stick for miles 😂 be safe take care yourselve Dan
Dan if you come though Illinois in the morning it's suppose to snow at 3am in the morning and they are going to have road conditions it's going to be slick out if you come though Illinois and I know that you are a careful driver and watch out for other driver's who don't know how to drive on slick roads we are supposed to have at least 3 inches of snow tomorrow I'll give you updates on that have a safe trip my friend 👍👍👍
That looked like the Amherst toll plaza, eastbound I assume lol. I seemed to have issues with the pass too but was usually westbound coming out of Indiana.
Ohio has a lot of problems with there ezpass’s not working you can give the attendant your device when you go to pay and she can scan it. I use to run that road three times a week. ✌🏼❤️
You have your passport Dan 🤔 you that close to the Canadian border, might as well just go to Canada for a reload 😁 I'm broke down here in St Louis 😪 was 5 miles away from my pickup going to North Carolina
How do you get your NY sticker while on the road? I'm assuming it's along the lines of a registration sticker, which are usually mailed, because you said you affix it to the bumper. Can you get them at scales or inspection station?
Dan, question. What is the threshold you use to decide when to turn off the truck vs. leave it running. At about 1:40 in this video you had to move the truck. I assume you had left it running so that wasn't a big deal. But what if you were going to be sitting for 30 minutes, would you leave it idling? An hour? At what point does it make sense to turn off vs. idle?
When you get to the other side, you give the cash box your ez-pass and the ticket and they’ll take it off of your ez-pass account. You don’t have to do cash.
TrukckerDan: I have been enjoying your Vlogs for awhile now and a question keeps running through my mind. I've heard you and other truckers refer to 4' and 8' tarps. What, exactly does that mean? Be safe.
A 4’ tarp refers to the height above the deck of the trailer that they cover. These tarps are a lot lighter, easier to handle and a bit shorter than an 8’ tarp. An 8’ foot tarp is capable of covering a load that is about 8 feet tall as it sits on the trailer and has extra “flaps” on each end of both tarps. 4’ tarps have no flaps. Depending on the load, 1 or 2 of each tarp will be needed
I wonder whether you are having any issues with the supply of diesel fuel? I heard somewhere within the last few days that there may be a shortage coming?
Parking lot dirt for free makes a very good oil absorb & gaurenteed to extinct every whale on the planet, depending on who gets offended when it's swept off.

I'm surprised you don't have a washer/dryer combo in that rolling penthouse! Lol
Spray some Simple Green cleaner on the oil and let the rain rinse.

HELLO DAN & BAILY GREAT VIDEO ! COOL MUSIC ! BE BLESSED !! 🐾🐾🐾🐾❤️🐾🐾🐾🐾🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Bailey and her stick How cute!
I seen that pink Mack Dan thanks for talking with me it was a pleasure meeting you safe travels
I like the bird sounds in the background…very naturistic!!!
@ 2:10 & 8:22..Bailey brought a smile to my face, the latter ‘Dad!!! Hurry Up!!’ Safe Travels. Give Miss Bailey a hug, smooches, & scratches behind both ears.
Those Ohio Turnpike service centers are my favorite also. Thanks for the video Dan safe travels.

The safety color hat & shirt look great on camera and wake up the eyeballs.👍
SAFE TRAVELS Mr Dan you and the little pup . 🚛 💨 💨 💨 💨
Buffalo New York is my hometown. Miss it but not the snow.
Sometimes going thru to fast won't register it happened to me numerous times.
Remember when they had showers for truckers on the Ohio Pike? And they were nice and clean and FREE
They still have them, and for free. BYOT (towel).
Good luck, Big snow ahead of you.
Good ride Dan, pets to Bailey.
Nice Mack next door.

Winter tarping and Buffalo before the storm
Vinyl wrap on the side of your sleeper would make it look nice
Only been through Ohio a couple times but I would agree with Theresa those travel plazas are like airports.

I remember when I came down and we went and had dinner that was a long time ago. Have a good day.
Not trying to jinx ya Dan. But it’s nice to see the truck running free of any major problems for so long. Hope it keeps up!
Welcome to winter, getting ready for a little snow? Be safe stay warm
Welcome to NY be glad you are getting in and out before the snow comes
Going to Buffalo--Bring your snowshovel!
I live in Georgia and I don't miss any of the snow at all I'm glad I'm retired Another good video Dan KEEP ON TRUCKIN 👍 🇺🇲 🚛 🐘

I enjoyed this video at 4:22 am Tuesday morning with a nice hot cup of coffee in my lazy boy safe travels Dan at all costs
Thanks Dan

Hi Dan and Bailey good to see you today.
Thanks for the ride Dan. Stay safe. Blessings

Hey Dan it’s Yvonne James from Apache junction, AZ!! Just wanted to make sure you and Bailey have enough warm blankets and supplies on board the truck. Take care and stay warm!!
Thanks Dan
You and Bailey take care out there now winter is here they are not all professional drivers on the highway
STAY SAFE 🙏🌵🇬🇧👍

Glad to see you working. The crap on your trailer will was off. BAiley looks happy. I hope the water heater is back to 100%
Stay warm and safe.
truck n trailer looking good Dan,
That's a bumber get oil on the trailer , Bailey she's ready to drag that stick for miles 😂

Another enjoyable video Dan.. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family
I really enjoy your videos! Keep up the good work!
Another good one, Thanks Dan Keep up the good work and stay safe !
I use to stay at Perrysburg T/A. Then I got ready to run Highway 2 all the way back to near Gary, Indiana. Company didn't pay Ohio or Indiana Tolls.😂😂
That looked like the Amherst toll plaza, eastbound I assume lol. I seemed to have issues with the pass too but was usually westbound coming out of Indiana.

Get some degreaser and go to town on the back of trailer ….spray on first then go in blue beacon and they will powerwash off ☝️👊💪
Hopefully You got out of Buffalo before the Big Snow !! Enjoyed !! H.
The service plazas along Ohio remind me of the plazas in Japan. Big and a fair number of amenities. And Ohio couldn't scan my EZPASS either.
You have your passport Dan 🤔 you that close to the Canadian border, might as well just go to Canada for a reload 😁

I was curious about the same thing.
Don’t shoot the messenger you have snow in your future (as I do) but I have new Michelin all over and nothing pressing !
Hope you got out of Buffalo, NY before the 5ft of snow

Where do you buy your tarps from? These Mercer pool liners not cutting it for me haha
"LIKE" button has been torqued to the manufacturer's recommended specification. "CLICK"
When you get to the other side, you give the cash box your ez-pass and the ticket and they’ll take it off of your ez-pass account. You don’t have to do cash.
How often do you like to change your main engine oil?
Another great video brother from the imperial co California ⛟
The first load is really small
I wouldn't stand in front of a semi truck. That guy at the oil place. Foot slips off the clutch.
👍
Where did you go in Buffalo? I live there….
Dan, Can you explain why you need a NY permit for your bumper?
You should be able to file a claim and collect for this oil spill, no? Damages has occurred and the shipper is in clear negligence.
I'm curious what service you got at Speedco and the price. Those numbers are always astronomical
To bad you didn't have a spray bottle of soap to spray on the oil stains to help the rain wash it off
Brake cleaner will get that oil cleaned off the trailer

What brand of oil you run and weight
Get out of Buffalo quickly. More than feet of snow coming this week
Can you please tell me the driving hours you are aloud in the US
✌
Dan, how much did the toll fee cost ?
Hey Dan mark in big purple w9 trying to get ahold of you about b r that we talked about in Effingham look for and 814 area code
Parking lot dirt for free makes a very good oil absorb & gaurenteed to extinct every whale on the planet, depending on who gets offended when it's swept off.
hope to hell you are not in buffalo right now because you are going to be there for a few days was just east of it and just missed all the snow
I like your videos but I hope you don’t use this style of music very often. Just saying.
Why do wash your truck is it a regulation or law
Just change your oil and do your laundry and stop crying
Safe travels
