bro apple has been giving us the same phone since iPhone X, and no one complained about that, when it comes to Samsung, everyone starts criticising the design -_-
Because Apple was never about innovating designs or features. While Samsung was known for always bringing new designs and features and have completely lost their brand identity.
About the S24 screen looking less vivid: this may be a bug where the vivid screen mode doesn't work and Samsung are checking it. UPDATE: Samsung said they change the way colors look on the screen for a more natural viewing experience, not a bug.
🙄Am I the only one who feels that the S24 ultra display has deeper blacks and high contrast, and white looks better on it. Based on the video, I am saying it.
@@BaSiC47 It's not the hardware at fault it's a bug with the vivid mode not working and a Samsung representative has confirmed there working on a fix it sucks that this is a rushed release to get it out in January should have waited til February to get the software more polished

I prefer the 24U since it has a flat screen. With a curved edge screen, it's prone to being hit on the side and cracking the screen. No screen protector can save it. In time, there will be updates to fix the known issues of the 24U, so I'm very happy to have upgraded 👍
Using my s10+ since its produced in a market 6 years with curved screen still nothing happened and almost same as first day🎉 only battery drowning thats why already wants to switch.. curved screen is also best it depends on a usage
@@Lion_Hamza There is still glare with the coating that's already on it, but not as bad as before. I have the screen protector with "privacy" and it futher decreases the glare to almost nothing.
Yep , why would you change , almost no discernable difference mate , slightest of camera tweaks and very slight differences in the case , and a few gimmicky AI features that most average people after the novelty period wears off probably won't touch again . Waste of a thousand bucks for almost nothing except to the techy snobs.
@mikldude9376 Some people have spare money and like to have the latest tech, so if you can afford it and it makes you happy why not, I have both as well. I don't care about AI, but I do like the flat screen.
I got my S24 ultra📱Titanium Black 1Tb on 25th Jan. Ultimate beast phone🔥. Almost 5 days, and i'm loving each and every bit of it❤. Trust me, you won't regret buying it.
I decided against upgrading from my S23 Ultra, but this doesn't stop me from seeing what a fantastic brute of a device the S24 Ultra is. A more than worthy successor to the 23Ultra.
That slight curved edge helps me with scrolling a lot... very smooth on my fingers I prefer S23 Ultra to the 24 Ultra , despite the battery improvement
So you say the battery is better on the 24U? By how much since 365 charging cycles will lower the capacity of the cell by about 15% so how much better?
Yes exactly, every video I have watched so far all say the s24 battery is better,it's bound to be,it's a brand new phone, whereas the 23 ultra is a year old nearly, they should always use a brand new s23 ultra to get a true comparison, not one that's nearly a year old?
The saturation is higher, but it's more reflective, has worse pwm, and is less sharp. I'd take the S24 Ultra as it's easier on the eyes and more practical to use the Spen with.
@@nickackermanchannelI understand. I think they made it a bit more accurate and less candy land extreme which people will get used to. Some people are treating it as a downgrade or saying it's washed out which is not at all the case.
Agree! Currently have both, need to make my decision soon one or the other. I still love the slight curve and certainly the vivid. When the AI and 6.1 arrives to the S23 Ultra it will be beautiful, though I have been able to get some amazing portrait and outdoor photos with the S24 Ultra. I am appreciating the anti glare effect. Hoping they can punch up this color display with a software fix.
Don’t people see the big difference in picture quality we see? The S24 Ultra looks completely dull and dark compared to the S23 Ultra. The colors seem muted and life less
@@nickackermanchannel not to mention the 7 year upgrades. It was a no brainer for me. I love the OS and you can't really go wrong with a Samsung Ultra phone!
You never fail with the vs reviews! I was trying to decide between these phones and thanks to your video I will go with the S23 Ultra because of the price. mint S23U $833 with tax vs S24U $1400 with tax. Definitely not a $566 difference!
Personally I don't see the point in leaving my S23 Ultra for an S24 Ultra. I'm waiting to see the S25 Ultra to see if it's worth changing smartphones. As for screens, I prefer curved screens, a matter of taste. I find them premium and beautiful. But I understand those who prefer flat screens which have significant advantages. But personally, for example, I don't use the Spen to write on the screen and I have never accidentally pressed the curved sides. I think the S23 Ultra is a near-perfect smartphone.
Mine S24 Ultra supposed to arrive in the next few days. I am upgrading from S21 ultra, who is still doing his job without any problems today. I will keep it, i start to feel sorry to sell it
How are you able to put these videos up the same day you make them? Either way it's great. So do you feel that going from the 23 ultra to the 24 ultra is a real worthwhile upgrade? I did go to the iPhone 15pro this year but I was coming from a 13 mini. I don't feel like there is a noticeable performance increase imo but I don't do super demanding things on my phone, the most demanding things I do I game on it. It's been a few years now that phones have been more than fast enough for everyday stuff. Yes I do agree that we shouybe doing these speed tests, because if you're spending $1000-1500 on a device there should be a noticeable improvement. I feel that the animations and the 120hz are the best way to make a phone feel fast. I didn't think I would feel a difference when I went from 60-120hz on the iPhone. I tried it at 60hz and it felt just as fast as my 13 mini but putting it on 120 was a huge noticable improvement. Any love your work dude, keep doing your thing man!
i have a 12pm now, i think ill get an s24u in like 2-3 years since they have longer updates now, has very thin. bezels and futuristic design I think it will stay modern for a looooong time
This just reassures me that Google did the G3 right. Yeah I would prefer higher scores... but I mainly play Star Trek Fleet Command, Marvel Strike Force, Galaxy of Heroes, COD Mobile... all those games have similar performance on P8P as my S24U. The only game I have played that I see perform better is C&C Rivals (due to app support, not hardware related) and Little Nightmares which runs at higher settings 60fps on S24U. Day to day, my P8P feels smoother due to OS optimizations, I prefer the camera and form factor as well. Probably going to send back the S24U
Keeping my s23 ultra, literally, sight hardware design changes aren't enough to warrant an upgrade as from samsung software experience , it's exactly the same. Plus, my next upgrade i would like a fresh design from its current look that's only been slightly tweaked since the s22 ultra.
Hey Nick! I think something is wrong with your s24 ultra because it scores about 4950 in wild life extreme for other reviewers but only about 4300 for you
It depends on what apps are running in the background, also if u put the phone in a freezer for a few minutes then run the test you get a higher score.

Don't even start me on not having split screen! Go watch some Applesheep videos on TH-cam that might make you feel better 😂😂😂👍
The only advantage of the s24 ultra is the 7years software support. Besides that nothing else. That little speed over the s23 ultra is just software optimization because both phones are capable of heavy task
I love my S23 Ultra, and I want anyone buying an S24 Ultra to enjoy it at least as much. For anyone upgrading from 23U to 24U, I say go for it. Don't let nobody tell you it's a bad idea.
No,save yourself £600$£€ and get a used one of Ebay like I did, I got a mint condition s23 ultra,512gb gb storage and Samsung bud pro 2 for £750, it makes so much sense in getting a used excellent condition s23 ultra for £650-£750 that will last you easily 2-3 years, than to pay £1250 plus for a new s24 ultra in my opinion.
99.5% of Samsung users won't be able to see the difference between S22 ultra, S23 ultra, S24 ultra. Everyone get a new phone for one reason, and one reason only. They think they staying "updated with latest tech"
Im glad i looked this up because i attempted to buy the S24 ultra on contract and failed but then i asked myself (do i really need the latest and greatest smartphone? i could just get last year's model for half the price and have almost the same cpu speed), only major difference is the brighter screen, slightly better battery and instead of a 10x periscope zoom at 10MP it's 5x at 50MP which does look better but if i want to take those type of photos i can always buy a proper telephoto lens for my Canon M50.
S23 seems to have warmer white balance than the S24. The panels really are a lottery. Mine S23 base has terrible yellowish tint to it. I was hoping it was a software bug, but I can not seem to fix it. Probably the actual physical display panel :(
This video proves that s24u is worth it because its no big difference with s23 ultra, you will say why??? Because hardware now are not big gap...the improvement will be the software these days...so 7 years of software major update is so underrated and its the very big reason to upgrate to the s24 ultra.
Is there an app to get one swipe to go home? I know some android phones have it, mostly Chinese ones, but like dang it's so annoying having to swipe twice when iOS lets you do it in one
?? What are you talking about? You just swipe up quickly once on a android phone and it take you to the home screen just like a iPhone does? Not sure what Android phones you have been using?😂
You mentioned the S23 looking a little more choppy... That happens overtime with use of the phone... But in terms of performance... Its only like a 1.35% improvement.
These tests are so easy that you're not gonna see any speed differences Today I saw a channel that did something that caused a big difference between these 2 phones they Uploaded or downloaded. I forgot which. A super long complicated video and one did it twice as fast as the other.
Samsung is famous for oversaturation, they have been since they started competing with the iPhone. Now they finally make a natural looking screen and people act like it's a bad thing.
More points are kinda pointless if the new Screen looks pale and washed out with some grain in low brightness. I’m a big Samsung fan and I was ok with removal of SD slot, removal of headphone jack and no charger included. But the Display is my red line and downgrades are not acceptable.
@@nickackermanchannel It is still a serious issue and should be at least mentioned in my opinion. People are spending their hard earned money based on your words and the reviews of many other TH-camrs. Would you buy a car with no headlights even if the manufacturer would fix this next month?
it looks like an lcd or something, that white ain't white it's grey/blue. looks old compared to 23 ultra, which already looked like that compared to iphone's screen. wth is samsung doing?!
behave will you, he's not forcing anyone to buy anything, just giving his own personal opinion, people can choose whatever they want it's upto then at the end of the day.

You have the detail enhancer mode on. 9:35
Not sure what Android phones you have been using?😂
@@wakinguptothetruth.2566 look at him in games. You have to swipe twice to get home.
Seems brighter on the S23 ultra
Watching on my s24 ultra 🎉
You mentioned the S23 looking a little more choppy... That happens overtime with use of the phone... But in terms of performance... Its only like a 1.35% improvement.
+Nick Ackerman I definitely prefer the curved display over the flat display.
Man you have to be some kind of a maniac to buy a very expensive phone and upgrade only a year or not even a year later with barely a different one
I'm watching this video on my s21 ultra and let me tell you it's still on beast
Hi. Samsung and Apple The PWM hides the
screen flickering because it's bad
S23u has the worst than s24u so I’ll buy s24u cause of dull colours and less pwm
How many years of software updates does the s24 ultra get?
They said 7 years
Definitely not worth the upgrade!! Hopefully the S25 Ultra will bring a new look and design and much better performance!!
Cause its a bug, and people have the right to chose what they want from the display. People are complaining cause the vivid mode simply isnt working.
If you have s23 ultra, dont need to upgrade s24
I can't wait till the s25 ultra I'm so glad I waited what they have been throwing out there about the s25 all dry and really excited
More points are kinda pointless if the new Screen looks pale and washed out with some grain in low brightness. I’m a big Samsung fan and I was ok with removal of SD slot, removal of headphone jack and no charger included. But the Display is my red line and downgrades are not acceptable.
There is no downgrade samsung will boost saturation in the next update
@@nickackermanchannel It is still a serious issue and should be at least mentioned in my opinion. People are spending their hard earned money based on your words and the reviews of many other TH-camrs. Would you buy a car with no headlights even if the manufacturer would fix this next month?
@BaSiC47 I honestly just think it's the anti-reflective coating on the phone, because I haven't seen anyone say anything about the s24 or s24+
it looks like an lcd or something, that white ain't white it's grey/blue. looks old compared to 23 ultra, which already looked like that compared to iphone's screen. wth is samsung doing?!
behave will you, he's not forcing anyone to buy anything, just giving his own personal opinion, people can choose whatever they want it's upto then at the end of the day.
