The top plate needs to be a double top plate. Helps to tie the walls together among other things. When your standing a wall up it helps to screw a couple of 2x4’s to the to the outside edge, keeps it from sliding off and helps to line it up. On long walls attach a couple of 2x4’s to a stud on both ends, not right on the end but 2-3 studs in depending on length of wall. Once you get up away you can use those to stand it up with out stretching to much.. google’ your friend on the roof. Good job keep it up👍 if you ever need a hand let me know.
@@jfeiro Thanks for all of that! Top definitely needs to be double plated 🤦♂️ any chance you could tell me how high the gable should be from top plate if I’m doing a 4/12 pitch and my shed is 9ft wide?
@@zak_collings_offgrid roofs I’m not any good at, I’ve done it with my sheds and just googled how to build shed trusses and hacked my way through. There are roofing calculators on line. Not sure if this will help. th-cam.com/video/gnlHw3TRT5k/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3qWSSNQRjds8rtZv

Is it square? Could be the camera angle, but with those nine foot walls, I dunno..
@@Kevin_D1 probably not 100% square but pretty dang close. If it looks really bad it’s probably because I’m using wide angle lens.
