Fun fact sonic should win that fight because Mario's power up should have stopped before they went into space and they said he doesn't know chaos control but he does in Sonic adventure 2 he uses the little power of a fake emerald to try and use chaos control to teleport onto the ship because he saw shadow do it. Therefore they're just biased

Wouldn't say that I mean Mario from RPG has way more feats that seems better than Sonics like for example Luigi and Mario destroying Dreamy Bowser whom basically a God was defeated by their base forms and Sonic usually needs a higher form to defeat God like opponents
