@AmbivalentBliss The most important thing is to not give up. If you feel like quiting to make it easier don't! Once you're out of the swing of it it's even more difficult to get back in! Be patient, talk to the disability people on campus and your professors if you haven't already and make sure they know. They may be able to give you some extra options, more time, things like that. How close are you to graduating?

You can do it! :) Stay strong and try not to let anyone stress you out! Hugs, Kyli

@potsiemommy I love moments like those. Very inspiring Sarah :-) I haven't given up by a long shot. It will be slow going, but I'll figure things out eventually! I think that most of us can still make our dreams come true, it may take a lot longer than it does others, but it is possible. Thanks Sarah! And don't you lose hope either :-)

@AmbivalentBliss I completely understand the motions sickness Erin. I've had issues with it since I was a kid. It finally got better when I was in high school, but apparently it's back again! :-(
Not really sure what you could do about the trek across campus....the only things that come to mind are trying to park closer to where you're going...but I know how that can be, might not be possible... or just leave early and take your time crossing campus if you can. Lots of breaks to rest! :-)

@poetrygal1 Thanks a bunch Cindy :-) I've already had a good talk with the 'rents so I'm feeling a bit better at the moment. Still frustrated, but I don't feel nearly as put out as I did. My parents are really great, I think sometimes they just don't realize that I try to push myself already and I don't need any extra pressure!! Have a great weekend! :-) Rascal Flatts!!!! Lucky!!!

You are NOT lazy. (But you already know that...) So sorry you're feeling all of this pressure. I know how hard this is. It's such a helpless feeling. Stress makes my symptoms so much worse too. I laughed when you said "But when I do relax - it makes it look like I'm being lazier." I feel the same way, lol. It's soo frustrating. I really think flying is so much more simple than driving. The security part is awful, yes, but once you get through that point, it's easy. I just take it step by step.

@TheManlyPotsies I know right! I have NEVER gotten to use my degree since I got sick before I even graduated and then dedicated all of my time afterwards to finding out what it was and fixing it. I've never even had a job interview before! I can just see the interviewer "So what have you been doing for these past...." *he looks at the resume* "...Good Lord! 4 years!?" LOL It is definitely frustrating though.

@ashpauls Agreed. I'm so far "behind" now it's just ridiculous. Not that I'm that concerned with "catching up" so to speak, but it still doesn't feel very good!
I know, I try to be as active as I can, I definitely have been pushing myself in that regard. But it is all relative of course, and somewhat unfortunately my family has that "workaholic/just do it" mentality and I will never be able to be as active as they would like no matter how much I push myself! They mean well though!!

I SO relate to the whole lazy vs stress vs working and living deal ://

@5awesomepotsies Anyway, thanks for the encouragement hun :-) I really appreciate it. I'll survive regardless. It would be nice if things could be more pleasant of course. But what's life without challlanges!? Not as rewarding, that's for sure! And I'm sorry you're dealing with similar things at the moment. If you feel like venting about it you know where to find me! Haha :-)

aww i think for us that are a bit older that is a big bummer. i'm the only one that graduated too and it's such a pain being held back when I know I could be doing so much more. i'm sorry you're being perceived as lazy when they should see. i actually found u very active compared to most of us! it's horrible being judged especially when it's not true. I love trains but it makes me anxiety stricken lol. cars are good but I get nausea easily and black out so I can't drive. no plane ride yet!

@5awesomepotsies Just read the TSA's list of no-nos.....No gel insoles!? Really TSA!? Really!? At this point they should just make everyone go in naked and ban luggage altogether!! I'm so against that sort of red tape crap on just about every level...Grrr...Sorry for ranting, but they drive me completely bonkers!
