iPad 2010
Apple kicked off 2010 with the unveiling of its next big thing, the #iPad. On 27th January, Steve Jobs took to the stage to unveil the long-rumored Apple tablet.
iPad 2
The second model in the iPad line it gained a faster dual core A5 processor, a lighter build structure, and was the first iPad to feature VGA front-facing and 720p rear-facing cameras designed for FaceTime video calling.
iPad mini
It is a sub-series of the iPad line of tablets, with a reduced screen size of 7.9 inches, in contrast to the standard 9.7 inches. The first generation iPad Mini was announced on October 23, 2012. It features similar internal specifications to the iPad 2, including its display resolution.
iPad 3
The third-generation iPad was marketed as "The new iPad." The brand-new Retina display was a first in the iPad line and the commercials often focused on the display as its main selling point.
IPad Air
Apple announced the next major addition to the iPad lineup on October 22. After a few generations of the iPad 2 design, the Air was the next big leap forward for the tablet. It featured skinnier side bezels, a thinner 7.5mm chassis and a 25% reduction in weight. Apple upgraded the front and rear cameras significantly, starting a brief streak of marketing the rear shooter as an “iSight” camera.
iPad Air 2
Apple iterated on the iPad Air in 2014 with the iPad Air 2, which was even thinner, The iPad Air brand was then temporarily discontinued, but Apple brought back the iPad Air brand in 2019.
The combination of 12.9-inch screen, iOS 9 productivity features (like two-apps-at-a-time multitasking), and higher starting price (2015 iPad Pro started at $799 with 32 GB storage) tried to seriously propel Apple’s tablet efforts as a replacement for a laptop.
iPad Pro 2018
Due to the relative size of the screens, Apple slimmed the iPad bezels on all four sides uniformly so that they were as thick as the TrueDepth sensor housing was big, removing the need for a notch.
Apple introduced a second-generation Apple Pencil that was designed from the beginning with the new iPad Pro in mind.
iPad Pro 2020
The 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models were updated in March 2020 with a faster A12Z Bionic chip, a new 10MP Ultra Wide camera to complement the traditional 12MP camera, a LiDAR depth scanner for improved augmented reality experiences, and more. There's also a new Magic Keyboard with Trackpad and the new iPad Pro models continue to work with the Apple Pencil 2.
iPad 2020
The Apple iPad (2020) specs include Apple A12 Bionic chipset, 10.2-inch Retina display, 32GB/128GB storage and iPadOS 14. The tablet is available for the starting price of $329.
This device is also known as Apple iPad 8th generation
iPad Air 2020
The Apple iPad Air (2020) or 4th generation is the first Apple device powered by the next-gen 5nm A14 Bionic chipset. Other specs include a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, 12MP main camera, USB Type-C, and five new colors. The Apple iPad Air (2020) is available for a starting price of $599 (Wi-Fi only model with 64GB storage).
iPad Pro 2021
The Apple iPad Pro 12.9 is the 5th generations of the most powerful tablets of the iPad family. It comes with the new M1 chip and Apple's Liquid Retina XDR display. The specifications also include 5G variant and new ultra wide 12MP camera on the front. The storage space can be up to 2TB combined with with up to 16 GB RAM. Prices will start from 1099$.

I remember how i wanted an ipad so badly back in 2013 but was never able to get one. Every one of my cousins had an ipad and i wanted one too. After 9 years of begging and working hard i finally was able to get my first ever ipad and that first ipad is ipad air gen 5 2022 yay.

I've been using the ipad air 2 for school for the last 8 years and it's been performing really well considering that I've been using it daily. It's amazing how future-proof these machines are. Now I'm considering upgrading to the ipad pro now since it has more features

i remember getting my ipad pro 11inch 2022 (newest brand) and i was so happy and grateful. especially after having a ipad 5th gen that was literally on thin ice and barely worked well. i still have it to this day

I’m typing this on my iPad Pro (12.9in 2021) while also holing my old iPad mini 2. The old one did me so well. It lasted so many years. The last year that I had it, it was glitchy, so I had to get a new one. Yes, the new one’s great with the IOS 16 but I know the old one did great. Even though it has IOS 12 it still had amazing performance. I still use it sometimes when I want to rediscover stuff or use it for a school calculator. (Yes, it’s that tiny.) So if you want an iPad that you can use occasional uses, iPad mini 2 will do you enough. It lasted me awhile, might as well for you. iPad Pro also great too. I’d recommend it if you use it for editing, art, huge gaming, etc. Cya.

So basically, the improvements have been:
1.) More battery life
2.) More memory storage
3.) Faster or improved processing speeds
4.) Sleeker design
5.) Different screen size ranges
6.) Better camera and apps features
Is there anything else anyone can note is the main evolution of improvements?
When it comes to the iPad evolution like most people note, majority if not all have the same capabilities, minus not being able to use certain softwares or programs due to having out dated tech, but in general it comes down to more efficiency.
You could say most tablets and phones do things similar, but I have my preference being loyal to Apple, it’s just simple and simplistic, well organized and has better features along with more capabilities. When it comes to the pros and varieties of the sizes and models, I always stay in the middle. I don’t need the xxl iPhones because that’s why I have a tablet, for size and clarity. But I don’t like the mini or S phones as they are cumbersome to see and type. The 10 and 12 are my favorites, perfectly sized not to big not to small. I try to also keep them separate for different tasks, for the iPhones I usually only use it for business purposes, phone call contacts and work related stuff with it’s priorities widgets, emails and stuff, Very rarely do I want to watch TH-cam videos, or other academic stuff. It’s a phone, so I leave it to phone stuff.
With the iPad/minis, the same, even with the size ranges still like the middle man, I don’t want a huge device because they attract more attention as well, it can easily be eye balled and tried to be stolen, and if want a bigger screen that’s what my lap top or computer is for, so the minis are perfect for academia like kindle, books, watching TH-cam educational videos and notes as well. The pads are for my academic views only.
Lap tops and computers are for my projects and a bundle of the first two, most of the contacts, credentials, accolades, and accomplishments along with future business endeavors.
I-Phone: Bussiness and contacts
I-pad: Academics and books
I-Mac: Protects and data base goodies.
Love Apple, not gonna switch to any other brand even if some are told to be better, don’t care, it’s simple enough for me, thank you Steve Jobs for your brilliance and dedication to improving the world.

I used to have the first iPad Air in 2014 and sadly, it broke for the last time in 2019-2020 and we had to throw it away. Idk what my iPad is now but my mom brought me another one in 2020-2021. It has photo booth and it has 1 circle in the back. I have a case on there so it won’t get broken.

How can an iPad Pro without a home button have a Touch ID
I "upgraded" to the iPad 9.7, 2017 model, now, in the end of 2023. It's kind of perfect (similar and better) after losing my iPad Mini 3. Apple is "updating" their stuff beyond repair and performance is not all. I might even fix my iPhone 5S battery. I don't use those for staying ahead, rather the opposite and keeping some older functionality going.

In late 2020 I had a cheap crappy tablet from amazon and my 2 older cousins wanted to play on tablet but I was selfish and I said no so after 1 month of my cousins begging their dad for a ipad their dad's friend gave the ipad 10.2 and I thought it was a very old ipad but I was wrong because they got the newest ipad (at that time) and I never noticed since now I also forgot they still to this day have the ipad working fine they aren't tech pros so they never updated the new software updates but other then that it has no cracks (1 month ago I went to their house and I accidentally dropped it since it was heavy and the side of the screen had a small glass crack lol they never noticed it I think) so they were flexing on me all this time
