This is such a cool looking cacti, and I don't usually go for anything that is poky, but this has such a unique looking structure, wavy almost brain like, and the spikes look like stars, very interesting. I love it! My cacti I always grew hard. They look best when grown in bright light with plenty of air movement and light watering. That stenocactus is a beaut Summer!
Another evolutionary purpose/advantage for the folds in any cactus with them is they collect any available dew in the air and direct it to drain to the base of the plant for it to take up. Isn't nature grand?
In one of your recent videos you said that anubias can't survive unless it's under water. I know that is simply not true. Yes I know it needs to be in a humid place. But a lot of plants that people grow in aquariums under water can be grown above the water line.
I remember when you visited the opera singing cactus guy he recommended fish emulsion fertilizer for cacti- is cacti specific fertilizer actually better?
@@wxlurker It flowered about 2 weeks ago and had it for about a year-it was totally unexpected. It was outside during the summer, and I placed it a south-facing winter for the winter. I water it about every 3 weeks indoors. Hope this helps.

No. Not that simple. State to state, Yes. Country to country, NO. Plants are allowed on air planes.
