ज्या वयात बहुतांश खेळाडू निवृत्तीच्या मार्गावर असतात, त्या काळात प्रवीण तांबेनं आयपीएलमध्ये पदार्पण केलं होतं. प्रवीण तांबे यांच्या त्या संघर्षाची प्रेरणादायी कहाणी सांगणारा 'कौन प्रवीण तांबे?' हा चित्रपट काही दिवसांपूर्वी रिलीज झालाय. त्यानिमित्तानं बीबीसी मराठीच्या प्रतिनिधी जान्हवी मुळे यांनी तांबे कुटुंबीयांकडूनच प्रवीणची कहाणी जाणून घेतली.

Regret to say that AJAY KADAM, NASIR and JAGANATH SHETTY didnt get chance because that time the facily was not there and being a middle class it was very difficult for these guys to make thier name. Pravin at least u got a chance and showed ur talent. But at the same time these guys are also not even one inch less than you. We r very happy that u make ur name to some extent. Instead of saying the above 3 guys are unlucky I would say CRICKET is unlucky. Its cricket loss. I would say AJAY KADAM is the best batsman I saw in my life. I rate him equally with all time gr8 BRIAN LARA. People would laugh at him. But ask to those who have seen AJAY KADAM while playing cricket. It's cricket BIG LOSS.
