    We've cut different products from either cake, vegetables, and really anything you can imagine. In regards to thickness we've cut french loaves up to 4 inches thick.

    This machine was probably designed for mass production. For companies to cut their cake products very fast and precise.

    if you would bake them in those shapes there wouldn't be any waste, however you wouldn't be able to change shape. What are you doing with the waste?

    The water moves so fast- faster than the speed of sound- that it breaks through the surface before the water can even wet the product.

    Very nice product (the cutting machine) but could you remake the video so I don't get sea sick from the camera jerking all around. Have KMT mount one on a FANUC Robot.

    I want to know one important thing....doesn't the edge of the cut get wet?

      +Craig Bray A diamond orifice is used to maximize the waterjet cutting stream life---typically the size of the stream is the width of a human hair at speeds up to 3,000 feet (914 m) per second. This small kerf width is so thin that food will not be compressed or washed out. The cake is cut on a grate which allows the the water to drain off well below the product. Thank you for your question. KMT Waterjet

    Yes, this is an expensive way to cut cakes, but it is not something you'll probably find in your mother's kitchen. Believe it or not, the cake does not get we at all; and we can cut just about any shape you can come up with.

    May I know orifice size?

    • @shawnquick3230
      @shawnquick3230 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We typically use a 0.005" orifice for cutting baked goods and pastry. This is an older generation machine, you should check out the newer models.
