    Danasa is the real goat when it comes to compositing in nuke and after effects,i think he can do more using natron and hitfilm express because they are freeware,nuke free version need to be downloaded every 4 months while after effects you need to subscribe on monthly basis anywhere thanks for that intro.

    i use after effects and blender rn. Ae might not have an node system, but you can just precompose things and youll be able to do the same thing, so i dont really see why this is different/better from after effects. should i learn nuke next or is that not an good investment of my time?

    • @ActionVFXofficial
      @ActionVFXofficial  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for the comment! It's great that you're using After Effects and Blender, but it's always beneficial to have a working knowledge of other widely accepted compositing software like Nuke.
      Nuke is an industry standard and is used extensively in many professional VFX studios, which often have automations set up exclusively for it. Learning Nuke can open up more opportunities for you in the industry and help you better understand different compositing workflows. - Jonathan

    I don't understand what's the difference beetwen nuke and After effect. Nuke do the same than AE ?! 🤔

    • @dyfx9788
      @dyfx9788 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      They are both compositing software
      One is layer based and the other is node based.
      I think nuke is million times better because since it is node based it is non destructive. You can do an entire conposite and if you change tbe imput footage most things will still remain the same. Also nuke allows maximum control when doing multilayer open exr cgi compositing. Nuke is simply harder on the surface but much better.
      Its like blender mantaflow vs houdini. While houdini is harder it is still much better than any other sim software.

      @@dyfx9788 Also 3d capabilities on after effects are very limited, you can do a lot with Nuke that you can not in ae

    Diagonal pipes... "A" pipes coming into Merges from the right... You guys need to be a bit more disciplined with your script layouts or you're going to teach new compers a bunch of bad habits the rest of us will have to break them of when they enter the industry.

    • @ActionVFXofficial
      @ActionVFXofficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the feedback! Since this is an introductory tutorial, we focused more on application and not the node layout. We will keep this in mind moving forward. Thanks again for your comment, Paul!
