Laws are not gender neutral. Why? If laws become gender neutral then it is a good move.Laws related to cruality against husband must be added because I have personally seen many cases around me in west bengal were wife harrash husband who earns less. For food adulteration there is separate Act of FSSIA Act where stringent punishments are mentioned, more stringent then Drug Act.

If it is proven that a false case or cases are filed, there should be heavy fine or at least 10 years imprisonment should be provided by law! This will help stopping people from filing bogus cases and reduce number of cases filed. In effect reducing pending cases.

Each of us should write to PM and also other concerned officials for changes in proposed New Laws eg., Very Strict action against those found in Adulterating food, manufacturing spurious medicines etc.
For medicine there is Drugs and Cosmetic Act where provisions for adulterated or spurious drugs are minimum 7 years RI which can run upto life imprisonment.

New Bill doesn't show any promising uplifting or betterment for the society. one thing is clear that this bill is broken to the core. every crime should meet the maximum punishment according to the nature. So the law should be strict, that stops criminals getting around.
After changes in criminal laws,then colonial judiciary system should change, then a relook on our constitution and necessary changes should happen.
Vijay sir I appreciate your honest criticism and analysis of the new laws but what are the lawyers and members of the judiciary system doing to reform the malpractices of the judges and their uncontrolled powers with lack of accountability? Even the collegium system ? The government can't do everything. When will there be amass demand and efforts from the lawyers to reform judicial malpractice?
I think it is some new amendment replacing the old law. In the future many more laws will be amended. It will be gradually increased. The good news is that change has begun.

I have studied IPC it’s the best punitive provisions written. It’s the way it is implemented that is lousy. What is the necessity for changing it.
Own community which is in trading is safe. Baniye bach jayenge. Cry for justice but it is too far for common people.
If the new bill is not effective to control offences, better it would be to retain the old one. Hope the lapses will be rectified by the committee to look into it.

Fear to law and punishment is only possble when implementing agency are honest.if implementing agencies are corrupt then law and punishment is immaterial. In india corruption and favourism is main issue. So need to address it.
I have a diverse view on this.
I think the first step is to get New CrPC accepted - the idea and it's acceptability has to get thru the nation's psyche. And the jerk Judiciary to comply.
Once thru then quickly & steadily all laws will be made quite tough.
If they are made tough, then judiciary will start shiuting and will disrupt it.
We should not forget that Judiciary, the main & biggest culprits has to be properly tackled . Their collegium, selection based system has to be removed. After that Constitution has to be totally revamped.
Maybe I am on a tangent but I have confidence that it will eventually effective and criminals will crap before thinking of committing a serious crime
भ्रष्टाचारीयों पर कोई बदलाव नहीं, भ्रष्टाचारी जो१ लाख रुपए से ऊपर का भ्रष्टाचार सिद्ध होने पर उनका २०साल कम से कम सज़ा हो और अधिक सजा मृत्यु दण्ड होना चाहिए और इनका वैज्ञानिक परीक्षण कर भ्रष्टाचार कि रकम का पता लगाकर उनकी सारी संपत्ति जब्त कर देनी चाहिए।

I fully agree with Sanjay ji that whole legal system is based on protecting the culprits in the name of justice, and not the victims.
The whole legal system is based on witness and evidence.
But who will give witness against say Dawood Ibrahim and his like. Whatever you may talk of witness protection, can 37:14 you ever provide witness protection against gangsters?
So the philosophy of 100 culprits be let go, but 1 innocent person should not get punished, this philosophy itself needs serious rethink.
Courts have to work like any other offices * & factories...Introduce shifts system in the Courts. 6 days working from 6.00 am to 2.00 pm and from 2.00 pm to 10.00 pm.....Recruit more staffs Judges and Stenographers/ Typists on regualr scale...Create employment and work load too to increase the efficiency and transparency in the working of the courts...
Inse luch badlega vishwas karna mushkil hai baaki bhagwan bhala karenge.
Now people can make career in crime as part-time..
