"Wheels Off" Wash & Drive With A Shelby GT350R Mustang | WASHWEDNESDAY

- With a surprise guest, this simple WashWednesday turned into a "wheels off" detail and coating install on a Shelby GT350R! Which was shortly followed by a spirited drive & review!
As some people know the Shelby GT350 is no ordinary Ford Mustang, and the GT350R is no ordinary Shelby. The R model comes with a handful of aggressive features to turn this GT350 into a track monster. Carbon fiber wheels, HUGE brakes, aggressive aero. and a proper suspension.
Levi Gates joins this episode along with our old friend
Tyler "Censport" Cenarrusa and his new toy. We like to call this a washwednesday and Details with Levi mashup for those familiar with our series. However, this wasn't all by luck that this fell together. Tyler was wanting a full ceramic coating install on his car, and we get TONS of questions on how to install optimum Gloss Coat. So we thought we would give this show a twist and perform a wheels off detail.
With the GT350 having paint protection film installed, the gloss coat was added to give it some much needed hydrophobic properties. We ended up polishing the carbon wheels and coating those as well. All in all, nothing was left untouched. We had a blast working on this special GT350R and the drive was no exception. Tyler took Antony for a quick spin and did some 0-60 mph runs as well as some nice launches. The V8 roars in the canyons and produces a superior exhaust sound.

Used to do a wheels off detail on my 04 Terminator twice a year even tho it was never driven in the rain.Gets all the sand,road tar,and used tires from the undercarriage and an opportunity to inspect everything.Car was in mint condition when I sold it in 2012.The option not available on these addictive cars is a set of divorce papers,cause if you are wed,you're likely to need them.This ICON is not an ordinary car as was mine,and deserves the extra attention it gets and the time you spend on and in one of these awesome cars is sure to manifest jealousy unless you can share.Being highly modified,my wife was afraid to accompany my cruising and uncomfortable with its power,so always pick your mate wisely and enjoy the adrenalin life to its fullest.

Detailing question: did you remove the rear license plate for the gloss coat process? (I'm thinking it would be easier than working around it, and the hidden area behind the plate would be protected)

I so want an R but it's just ridicously price but then I looked at the Demon, they're gone too. I know I'm going to settle on a Hellcat Charger because of how big my family is. I wish they made the new Mustang wider, my son and I are shoulder to shoulder basically. Good work guys! I came from Adam LZ channel to yours.
I've been following Matt Moreman with his Raptor so you're probably right to look at these. I have an SUV now and really like the practical aspect of it, love to drive so usually I have people to tote around. You're not the only person who's suggested this. Have both a powerful power plant but still maintain the room is something to consider. Thanks man!

How much were the backseats?
PittsburghPete26 It’s a R. It has a back seat delete. If you want a rear seat for the tiny useless area known as the rear seat get a regular GT350.
@@_hashtag i think he meant how much did it cost to put back seats into an R. and the answer is about 1,400 bucks.
the seats were about 1,000 bucks and it was around 400 dollars labor to put them in.
Tyler Cenarrusa you could not pay me enough to sit in the back.
