Happy Birthday Libertee! Happy Independence Day Shawn, staff and SVCC puppies! You all worked so hard today. We will miss seeing Bama! Save travels Jim to Virginia and enjoy golf! I was thinking of the puppies today and was just going to watch some videos and happy to see this new video. Thanks for the update Shawn.
Happy 4th 🎉all, and Happy birthday 🎂 Libertee. Thank you all for working today with the puppies and training them. I was so excited to see Jasper outside doing his routine. He was great 🎉and, also the trainers are so patient. Thank you! The other puppies staying focused while training while the rest 🐶were either playing fetch or “wrestling” between themselves. Thank you also for all the sounds therapy for our little ones. Safe travels to Bama, Jim and friend. Happy playdate to Eve, Ariel and Sugar and all the puppies. Thank you Shawn for filming all this and sharing with us. ❤🎉
Happy 4th of July Libertee and Shawn. I have to say, I love how Libertee backs up so quickly with fast tiny backward steps in anticipation of the toy being tossed! Love it ❤
Yes! Libertee is so funny and she delights me all the time. Burberry is her daughter and also does charming things including coming to cuddle in my lap when everyone else is playing. ❤️ Thank you
Happy Birthday 🎂🎂🎂 to one of my very favorites…Miss Libertee.❤️🤍💙❤️🤍 Happy 4th to you Shawn 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸and Team SVCC Schnauzers!!!🎉🎊🎈🪅🎊🎉🪅🎈 Safe travels to Jim and Bama. ✈️✈️✈️ Love watching Libertee do her backwards movement shuffle before you toss the toy.😄😄😄 All the pups fill my heart with such joy. Thank you as always Shawn!❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️
Thank you Carole! I am so grateful for you and your ability to focus on what you enjoy 😍❤️ You are a role model for all of us! Focus on what you do love and enjoy and let go of the other stuff ❤️😍 THANK YOU!
Yes! Hi Organic Gal! I agree with you we will miss little Bama and I am sure they are full of love for him and can't wait to get their hands on him today! Jim has a 7 hour drive to get to their home so later this afternoon 😍❤️
@@organicgal7751 Thank you for sharing that!! Yes!! None of my dogs that live here are afraid either and I think that also helps teach the puppies that are here in Puppy Prep School because they watch their pack and mothers to see what normal behavior is. This is why I would never want or allow someone to take a puppy super early (before 8 weeks old) - little puppies need to see what great behavior looks like from the pack they live with! Less likelihood of anxiety and behavior problems that way! THANK YOU OrganicGal! XOXOX
Great video. Thank you for mentioning the sound training for anticipated fireworks. Even though fireworks can not be seen in Alaska this time of year, many still shoot off firecrackers. Thank you for giving Jelly noise training to help her with any possible anxiety, My previous dogs did have some stress issues from the noise. Happy birthday Miss Liberty!
Thank you Sandra for enjoying what I am doing! From my home last night we could hear lots of fireworks and not one of the puppies was bothered by them! Yes, Jelly is going to be well sensitized to sounds by the time you are holding her in your arms! ❤️😍
@@svccschnauzers thank you, I sure did have a great day. Monday, July 1 we celebrated Canada Day. I forgot to say Happy Birthday to Libertee yesterday.💜
I notice Libbee has a longer tail. Was that a client request? Was it docked at all? Happy 4th of July! I love how much is going on at your house today. ❤
Hello Cindy, Libby's tail is the same length as her siblings! They are still in the Teddy Bear groom style so the inch and a half of hair on them masks the lenght of their tail. Libby's tail is 1.5 inches long. She is a very young puppy and she is tiny - she will grow into her tail! I personally don't like a tiny nub of a tail that you can't see wagging - I want the tail to show me when the dog is very happy so I have my vet dock them with the thought that they will be about 10 lbs and they will need a tail that shows off when they are wagging or afraid. Libby's tail is perfect for her body! (And you may recall I was the one who groomed her - well I left 1/2 inch of coat on the end of her tail because a puppy can move very quickly and I do the final tip of the tail with sissors - I never want to cut a dog when I am grooming it. The reason we put Libby into this cut was so her mom, Patricia, could pick her out and realize when she was in a video. But at that time I said it was not a perfect schnauzer cut - it was to distinguish Sugar and Libby quickly. I promise Anne will do the final groom on Libby before she has her Gotcha Day and then she will be very well groomed!
@@svccschnauzers thank you for your reply. I agree about having a tail that can show those happy wags! Also, their tails seem to disappear/get shorter on senior dogs.
Hello, The "Places" Beds - I can say, "Places Everyone" and they all go jump on the bed 😂 When we are training puppies it creates a wonderful boundary - structure. When 6 week old puppies first begin they know we are doing something special when they are put on the places bed. It helps them realize this is training time. Watch along and you will see when we transition them to coming off the places bed to do their routines. Hope you enjoy my videos!
Thank you for your speedy reply. It is very helpful. I have a 13 wk old Yorkie. I live in the UK so I've found Hik9 a manufacturer here who make similar beds. Yes, I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos. It's interesting to see what is the same here in the UK and any differences I can learn from.
Thank you for enjoying and commenting on my videos! I'm thrilled we found each other and that you are using my training process on your Yorkie! I look forward to seeing more comments from you ask you watch more videos. Thank you.
Happy Belated birthday Libertee ! Shawn since most of us do not have groomers in our home at what age do you suggest to take them to a groomer? I will be bathing and drying Lucy at home but not sure that I want to try clippers on such a young and wiggle like puppy. I can trim her nails here as well just want to get a teddy bear puppy trim and start her grooming experience in a positive manner. Thank you! Love to see the puppies and you did a great job on Honeybee!
Thank you Margo! Lucy would benefit from meeting your groomer first with just having a bath and a blow dry in the salon. A bath every 3 weeks is a good goal. You could set it up that you bathe her and then 3 weeks later she goes to the groomer. Then 3 weeks after she is at the groomer you bathe her and 3 weeks after that she goes to the groomer. Lucy is used to clippers moving across her body so when it does come time for clippers to be used she will be ready. Thank you ❤️

Yes, thank you for your question! You prompted the video I created today!
I may have missed the answer to this question, but why do you use elevated mesh 'beds' to train the puppies on, please?
