I am a little confuse here because on a 41pegs loom, it's suppose to end with a knit on the last peg but the looks of it you purl the last one. Did I miss something as you skip the video to show the end of row 1. I really like the stitch but I can't start unless I know for sure I'm stuck after my brim. I hope you know you understand what I'm saying. Thanks for your tutorial videos and I learn a lot from you.. stay safe take care
I am curious. What if The rows of purl then Knit were just done in intervals all the way without that last peg being same as one before it? Would it ruin the project & have to be fixed, or would it come out alright?
Hi...I'm hopin to make this a simple beanie about how many rows should I do if I don't want it slouchy...love the moss stitch n wanted to use it..thanks
Hi! You can work this pattern on a 36 peg loom (actually this pattern needs an even number of pegs) :) You can follow the same directions you will see on this video, and then ignore what we do on the last peg of every round (the peg #41).
Hi, I want to knit a hat for a child age 4. Could I use a 36 peg loom with 48 rounds? Or would that be too big? I don’t want it as slouchy as the hat shown. Also would size 4 medium yard affect the hat?
Thank you @DianeKY ! I used 140g of a yarn called Phildar Rapido (50grams/46yards), but I must say I made a very long hat. If I had made a regular hat, I think I would have used 100-110g (100yards approx.).
Hi Dayana! And, are you using the same loom too? Maybe you could try starting your hats with this other type of brim: th-cam.com/video/1AZObIoQdJ8/w-d-xo.html
Sure! This pattern is perfect for a 40-peg loom. You can follow the same exact directions given on this video and just ignore what we make on the last peg (the peg #41).
I love your tutorial! The quiet piano music is so much better than so many I have watched. Thank you!

Hi! Love your video. It is important to go clockwise?
Hi...I'm hopin to make this a simple beanie about how many rows should I do if I don't want it slouchy...love the moss stitch n wanted to use it..thanks
Hi Ali! Not sure about the number of rows, but if you want a regular size hat, you better stop when your whole knitting work is 20cm in length approx.
i want to do this but i only have a 36 peg loom. does anyone know any patterns for that one??
Hi! You can work this pattern on a 36 peg loom (actually this pattern needs an even number of pegs) :) You can follow the same directions you will see on this video, and then ignore what we do on the last peg of every round (the peg #41).
Oh thank you . I was abt to ask this question. I am doing in 36 peg loom ..
Will doing it on a 36 peg loom make a smaller hat?
TheMichelle0505 yes.
Would the 36 peg loom be good for a child? About 5 yrs old

Hi..can I start this for a brim..was hoping to make the brim with the moss stitch..can I do a crochet cast on for it...thanks
Hi Ali! You can start it with the moss stitch :) (but moss stitch is not a very elastic stitch, so I wouldn't choose it for a brim)
Thank you...good to know
Awesome! :D
Thank you Jordi!!!
Molt maco, els teus projectes no fallen mai !!
Gràcies preciosa!
How many yards/grams of yarn? Going to start this today. Thanks for the great easy instructions.
Thank you @DianeKY ! I used 140g of a yarn called Phildar Rapido (50grams/46yards), but I must say I made a very long hat. If I had made a regular hat, I think I would have used 100-110g (100yards approx.).
I use the same yarn and my brim always comes out too loose. Is there anything I can do, maybe switch the patterns or something to make it tighter
Hi Dayana! And, are you using the same loom too? Maybe you could try starting your hats with this other type of brim: th-cam.com/video/1AZObIoQdJ8/w-d-xo.html
Approximately how many rows/rounds for a regular non-slouchy hat. Just curious in case it's too long. Thanks.
Hi Catherine! I would say 48 rounds (for the body part) approx., or until the total length is 26cm approx., if you want a standard size hat
Is there a way I can do this hat on a 40 peg loom?
Sure! This pattern is perfect for a 40-peg loom. You can follow the same exact directions given on this video and just ignore what we make on the last peg (the peg #41).
Porque no lo puso en español por favor son preciosos sus puntos gracias
Estoy de acuerdo contigo debería estar en español
what size and type of yarn is this?
Hi Frances! I used a yarn called Phildar Rapido (size #5)
