Interesting. I have an s21 ultra and I love Google a lot! I'm thinking after all these years of using Samsung to actually transition over and check out the pro 7 when it comes out.
But I see Google and Samsung are working and collaborating a lot. So I'm not sure if Samsung will eventually get all these pros that you see on Pixel phones.

Awesome video, Nick!! I have to say that I am watching this video on the S21, but if I had my choice I would go back to the Pixel smartphones in an instant. So I am excited to see how the Pixel 6a and Pixel 7 do in real world tests. I heard some people had some issues with the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, and would hate to see the 6a and 7 suffer because of this, Google is heading in the right direction from what I observed at this year's Google i/o. They just need to do a little more testing on their products to make sure their launch of these products go smoothly rather than rush them out.

I’m glad you mentioned brightness as most all Pixel devices have unimpressive brightness. If Google can fix the brightness and battery issues I do think once they optimize the Tensor chip it could very well be an IPhone competitor. When you look at it, to me this is the android version of an iPhone once they can fix the bugs and glitches.

I am using Pixel 6 pro for 3 months. Totally disappointed for the selection now. No fast charging is there, taking 1 and half hour for full charge, battery draining so fast. The main disappoint is cannot make even a call under direct sun(40°c or above) immediately phone disconnect network to cool the phone, if we are in any emergency no way have to wait until it gets cooled. Sometimes switches off itself. Really disappointed with such a big company's phone.

Odd. Usually that’s something a iPhone would do androids generally don’t have that issue. Seen that with a guy who said he went on a trip the iPhone gave a message of too hot temperature to cool down and turned the gps off and he needed to use the android tablet for the rest of the trip

I've used the pixel 6 and now the pixel 6 pro near since launch, everyday as a daily driver.
I like it but the poor battery performance and overheating issues, coupled with slow charging is pretty bad. The modem and SoC wasn't flagship when it launched, real world tests show no performance issues, but the cheap display, old exynos hardware and modem means the battery will suffer.
I'm very certain that the pixel 7 pro will be way more optimized and less buggy

      @alexisaguirrevazquez7900 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@alexseleni3314 I highly doubt it's the modem that drained battery life. It's got more to do with the fact that it's a customized exynos 990(which had really terrible power efficiency). The sd888(which has identical efficiency to the 2100) and 8 gen 1 drain less battery than the tensor.

    • @alexseleni3314

@@alexisaguirrevazquez7900 it has the first Gen Samsung modem which is way more inferior to the Qualcomm and Samsung 2nd gen modem. Also many reviewers have modem usage around 30% which is absurd. On iPhones it's about 10% max. With the June update its now less than 20 but using a newer modem on the Tensor 2 will be ideal.

That’s why I didn’t love the experience. Because I use a lot of Google’s services. I have the mini a chromebook TH-cam premium I even bought the pixel buds when I purchased this phone. I was very disappointed when I was having issues with connectivity for my pixel buds. I was having issues with the fingerprint sensor. I even had issues with Google’s own native apps crashing. I kept this phone for 5 days and couldn’t take it. I turned it back in and got the iPhone 13 Pro max. I still use all my google services of course. They’re just more reliable on an iPhone. I did return the pixel buds.
I’d rather be on Google’s ecosystem. I’m more integrated and it’s cheaper. But I’ll have to wait for a few years and give it another shot. I spent to much money on this 13 pro max to switch in a year.

I bought the Pixel 6 Pro as a travel phone on top of my iPhone and I'd have to label this phone as a disappointment. It's far better than my Motorola Stylus but falls far from my 13 Pro Max. If I had gone back, I wish I would've stayed a little more patient and waited for the S22 series to be released or just gotten another iPhone. Hopefully the Pixel 7 learns from these mistakes.

I made the switch from the pixel 3 to iPhone last year. The pixel 3 is by far the worst phone experience I've ever had that lead me to switch to iOS for the first time.
iOS has its own issues, but overall it was a great choice for me. I have yet to encounter a single bug or crash. Airdrop and iMessage are insanely convenient to the point I don't think I could switch back.

When it comes to smoothness and performance, S22U has nothing on P6P. I own them both including iPhone 13 Pro. iPhone 13 Pro is still the best out of the three, but P6P is very close. I think that Pixel 7 will be much better.

It's not a slippery phone. What are you smoking? It is like this slipperious phone I have ever ever held and I love that you have in "quotations" for an Android phone on it being smooth and fast. Androids have been that way for many years now. It's not the same. Apple doesn't have the same argument as It had years ago. The software has vastly improved and that comment is grossly outdated

I am very sorry, but I can't disagree with you more. I came from the note 20 and this phone has been very disappointing. Battery life is garbage, very glitchy. When I have it setting next to me not touching it, my notification shade and apps open randomly, my blu tooth shuts off on its own, airplane mode turns on ,etc. I do have say the camera is no joke, I'm very impressed with it. All in all a very very average phone. Looks like I'm going back to Samsung. Great video.

I had mine for about 3 weeks before going back to iOS. Love the cameras, I think they are one of the best, if not the best. The main problem for me was the battery drain.... the numbers came down so fast and charging speeds where so but so slow.... Other big disappointment was the poor screen brightness, there is no way it can be used outdoors on a sunny day. It's a shame because I really wanted to love this phone.
