Wow, some tension after that question about Joe lol. Particularly at this time when they were doing this tour his voice was mashed from all the partying. Nice to see Jeff on percussion at the end! Thanks for the upload, hadn't seen this one before.

I saw the exact same thing this was right around the time Joe started losing his voice and not taking care of himself. So cool they went full circle.

Two months later I saw them perform in May 1988 at the Gorge in Washington State and they were amazing! Met and talked with Luke and Jeffrey before the show. Took pictures. The band was on fire, Joseph's voice was really good and it was a beautiful venue. Great memories.
Only wish there was video footage.

I literally was in the FL Keys (Sr. in college) listening to The 7th One when this interview happened. It became my favorite project for several years.

Dang I can feel some of the self blame for where ya joes was possibly at at this time, from dave on the question about joe. They were a bit vulnerable during this interview, tours are tough and they can eat some people up and spit people out if your not careful. This as a different time, people knew things and most didn’t know the inner workings of the time. The Toto core group were tough as nails and had been for 15 plus years at this point and I can imagine they could hang tough with the best of them and yet we’re all human and we usually don’t learn the hard way unless we find ourselves there at some point. Props to the boys, my fav or all time, thanks for the glimpse into a moment in time I wish I could have had the chance to take in for even just one day with jeff or mike bless ‘em both. Breaks my heart for some reason to see the rose on Jeff’s coat knowing what the rose represents to life in weird strange occult hollywood dark side, knowing he was the first to leave this planet even though he would have insisted himself outta here if he had the opportunity to know ahead of time. He would have only insisted himself over his Toto brethren. ♥️💯

Oh, you can feel the tension when they are asked about Joseph Williams. Jeff sure wasn't going to answer that one...

Good Choice using Nathan East on bass. I picked up a green Yamaha just because of his positive influence on me as a bass player...
