    Here is what he is missing:
    He does not talk about suspension at all. Scooters with suspension exist.
    He did not mention that PU-Wheels are useless in the rain. Air filled wheels are more comfortable, quieter but can get punctures, plus you need to check regulary for good pressure. But you won´t slip in the rain.
    He does not say that a handbrake can be very useful when riding in dense traffic, e.g. on a crowded pedestrian area.
    In general, steep hills are too dangerous for scooters because the brakes are not effective enough, they are not comparable to a bike brake system. So if you want to ride steep hills, scooters are out of the equation. An exception are dog scooters, but they are not foldable.
    Locking up a scooter is also important, you need a way to lock it, consider that when buying one.
    Reflective stickers are a safe addition for a commuting scooter.
    A thin waterproof bag to put the scooter in so that its dirty wheels are no problem when riding a bus or train are a nice extra.
    Last but not least, you can hang your rucksack over the handlebars to transport stuff without having the weight on you shoulders. But be warned, this is a very bad weight distribution, so lean backwards when riding.

      Hi Flix,
      Thank you for your comment, customer feedback is always greatly appreciated here at Micro. You do know your scooters! We would have loved to have included these points in such detail but we do try to keep our videos shorter for bite sized watching. Moreover, we do have a broad range of scooters catering from preschoolers all the way up to adults each with different features - so this video works as a quick summary. We will be sure to add some of your points in our videos in the future - watch this space :)
      To add to your points:
      The Suspension Feature, yes it is awesome, both our adult kick Suspension Scooter and emicro Merlin electric Scooter do have dual suspension for an ultra-smooth ride to help glide over the lumps and bumps.
      We don’t recommend riding in the rain due to the potential of skidding - however if you do have to ride slowly and cautiously and with a helmet!
      We do now have an adult kick scooter with the added feature of a handbrake which is the Downtown Scooter, do check it out if you're interested.
      Kind regards.

      @@microsupport6625 Hi micro Support, thank you for reaching out to me. I will certainly check out your Downtown Scooter as soon as it avaliable again (currently sold out I am afraid) and see how he compares to my frankenstein scooter that I patched together from 2 different scooters. If your R&D department is interested in even more detailed constructive customer feedback, send me mail(at)freelance-design.de I will be happy to share my experience or test your scooters.

      if you've actually been riding a scooter for a while you will know you can ride in rain, you just need to like know what you're doing. also you would know that rubber tires add a lot of weight and cut your kick momentum quite a bit, feels very draggy. i would take the slippery wheels over draggy wheels any day. suspension is over rated on concrete, yeah it'll dampen rattling and vibration but you don't actually need it for anything on concrete. lifting the front wheel slightly and doing ollies is "skateboard suspension" enough.

    • @SproutyPottedPlant
      @SproutyPottedPlant ปีที่แล้ว

      How to add suspension? Simply fit rubber wheels 😀 and then inflate to 60 PSI like Razor A5 Air

      The skateboard is the most useless form of transport ever invented. Great for a skate park, awful everywhere else. Tiny wheels can't cope with uneven surfaces, there's no upper body support, making them hard work over longer distances, and they have no real brakes... for when zombies on their mobile phone walk, cycle or drive out in front of you. 🙄

    One of the reasons I chose your Micro Flex over your Micro White/Black is because of the clearance. The 2" deck height of the Micro White/Black is better than the 3" height of the Micro Flex's deck. The Micro Flex's somewhat flexy deck is fairly thin and even under weight doesn't get much closer to the ground. But the Micro White/Black's clearance is actually far less than 2" because of the design of the underside of the aluminum deck. If you could make a rigid deck with a 2" height and a clearance as close to 2" as possible, that would be preferable.

It might be worth getting to one of your local Micro stockists to try and test the scooters in person to determine whether or not it would suit for what you are looking for.

Price range is $60-$90 depending on if you can find a website for Target to price match. (Sorry Micro, I know you guys have great products, I'm just giving an option to buy local...)

    Whoever created this video, have no experience riding a scooter. Sad thing is, this looks like official Micro video and I just checked another one - same thing. I understand these are no pro-riders, but still, they show improper riding stance. You don't keep a foot pointing towards the direction of the riding! This is not a skateboard! Fail!

    • @Thndrkiss65
      @Thndrkiss65 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The stance depends on the scooter and what you’re doing with it. If you’re doing certain tricks or riding a scooter that turns by leaning into the turn then, yeah you can stand the way you’re suggesting. But this scooter turns by turning the handles and also it’s mostly a commuter scooter. So you DO ride with your dominant foot facing forward in the direction of travel most of the time. There’s no fail here.
