Yes girl those shoes are cute!!! My suggestion to make it even more cute is maybe change the shoe laces, maybe to a cute lace. I think the laces are to stiff and kinda stick out. But that's just my opinion. @kathleenillustrated sometimes changes the straps or ties with a cute lace, and I always love how it turns out. ❤ Just a fun twist to your adorable shoes ❤
100%! I will say, as someone who mostly wears platforms/big boots, i also think smaller/flat shoes look odd on me (I'm pretty sure it's just because I'm used to wearing clown shoes lol)
As someone with a funky jacket addiction- welcome to the club, we have fun here! My favourite ‘funky jacket’story. Is that I brought this cream, burgundy and green floral jacket from an antique store. Brought it home and realised it matched the material on our dining room chairs- EXCACTLY. These chairs are like 100 years old and have been in my boyfriends family his whole life- it’s wild
I would dye the skirt to burgundy or olive green :) olive green would be nice in summer and in fall. You will have so much use out of mary janes and shoulder bag - I feel like your wardrobe was missing neutral acessories like that from watching other videos of cours :) the mary janes don't look weird, but you might try different shoe laces, maybe something fun like ribbons would be more you. Beautiful finds, especially the first botanical jacket, I love that kind of things :) and the flower brooch ❤
Yes!! Ribbon lacings for the shoes would give them more substance and balance, as well as playfulness. Those tiny laces might be what’s making Liz feel “off” about them.
Olive is a great idea. My first instinct was to go purple but I have to resist the urge to make a giant vat of purple dye and dunk everything I own it so that's probably just me. Olive feels more her.
I think you could dye the chambray skirt dark brown or dark purple (I have both in my wardrobe), which may not sound super versatile, but with the colors you already have in your wardrobe and other autumnal colors, you’d be surprised how much you can style with them!
No way she gets that skirt khaki. Maybe with an orange/brown dye she could get it a camel but you have to work with the blue dye already in the skirt. The easiest colors would be purple, green, mid toned to dark brown or navy.
My only guess on what's throwing you about the Mary Janes is that they just make your feet look a little more petite... maybe? They don't look weird at all, but those and cap toes can both do the same thing. They look so good on you- I can see why you grabbed them!
The blue skirt you want to dye…I would go at it with a lilac colour. That way the existing blue will pull it closer to indigo and I think that would be a beautiful summer-to-fall colour!
I definitely want to see these pieces styled! My best Thrift find this summer was a "river washed" super comfy purple button down covered in a kiwi fruit pattern. I am loving it for summer but i also want to wear it under overalls and sweaters in the fall and winter.
the shoes look so cute on you! maybe it's just the heel height? that's usually the culprit for me when i think shoes look off on me; i prefer a little taller of a heel. but they don't look weird on you at all in my opinion!!
the red corduroy pants are stellar 🤩 also is the tie on the brown mary janes removable? i could totally see you putting the liz spin on em by swapping out for some ribbon (-:
I like fashion and I like how you sound excited when you talk about it. I get inspired by your ideas and taste in clothes. Thank you for these videos. 💕
THOSE BROWN SHOES ARE EVERYTHING! I don't think they're weird at all. They're so gorgeous. They make your feet look a little bit smaller because of their shape so I don't know if that's maybe what you're feeling? But actually that's not a bad thing! They're the cutest shoes ever. Don't get rid of them. Love them with socks too! How cute.
I love the funky striped top and the overalls! 🥰 But AGHHH the mary janes and the bag are so pretty!! And I don't think the shoes look weird on you - it's probably just not something you're really used to styling, I've styled shoes like that in the past usually with calf/ankle socks + skirts or dresses, but I think you'd absolutely rock them with some flared pants too 🙂
My faves are the orangey red flare pants, the high waisted white shorts, those earrings you purchased from a local business, the rainbow sweater, the green subtle print oversized jacket, and the patchwork jacket! Incredible finds.
I promise it’s all in your head Girly Pop ☺️. You look amazing in your new pair of thrifted shoes 🤎. I can see you styling them with almost every piece in your thrift haul. I can also see you styling them with your button up’s, jackets, and vests ✨.
Congratulations on all these treasures! I am very excited to see different ways you style them. I think the problem with the Mary Janes is that the string for the bow is so much narrower than the broad leather straps that lead up the arch of the foot. It also has a weird texture, it is too stiff for a pretty bow. I feel that if you removed the original ones and put in a broader strap of satin or cotton that made a more spectacular bow, the shoes really could shine. All the best!
I’m so hyped for fall as well!! ✨🍂🎃 Just yesterday I found a BEAUTIFUL dark brown maxi skirt with some subtle embroidery of branch shapes (I suppose?), it’s so soft, twirls magically, and matches my hair! I also found some adorable flats with little bows from Lower East Side that I’ve seen all over Pinterest that are the same dark brown as the skirt, and white Air Force Ones that fit me perfectly! I had been manifesting them all summer and I nearly screamed when I found them 😆✨ Loved your haul! Congrats on 100k, Liz!!!! 🫶💕✨
I’d vote dying the blue skirt navy. A great neutral for all seasons! As a Coach bag fiend, that one looks pretty legit to me! Watch brooch: back in the day, ladies would wear them like men had pocket watches, but the brooch watches were upside down so the ladies could read them. The 1928 brand of your brooch is great for vintage-looking jewelry. Awesome haul video! ❤❤❤
I'm not typically a brooch person but your brooch collection on the wool overcoat at 14:48 is STUNNING and I have a blazer that I need to recreate it with!
I found my dream coat at the thift store last year for $40, but it was so worth it. Vintage ankle-length collared deep green coat made of 90% wool and 10% cashmere. The coat is so fluid and keeps me toasty warm even in -30° C winter weather we have in Canada. It straddles the line between masc and femme style perfectly, which I love as a mostly masc-leaning lesbian. I get compliments every single time I wear it out! Similar coats sell for 1-2k, so it was definitely worth the $40 plus 30 for dry cleaning!
Brown shoes look really good. They are definitely for the Fall/ Winter season. Try styling them with long dresses and pants. You might like them more. I think you should keep them.❤
The church rummage sale mary janes look adorable on you! When I encounter a pair of shoes that make my feet look too petite, I think the best solution is a pair of flowy slacks. That gives the fit some androgenous contrast and balances the silhouette. Good luck!
I love the overcoat! I got one that looks almost exactly like yours only a dark, rich brown, and I'm so excited to wear it out this fall! It was pricy, but my friend was thrifting with me and convinced me to buy it, and I'm glad she did because it fits me perfectly.
Blue for fall is a very fun idea, because it's such a good compliment to all the traditional fall colors. Also, the shoes look fine. You're overthinking it, I'd say try changing out the lacing for something wider and see if you like that better.
Those brown shoes are soooooo good! They don't look weird at all. I'd love myself a pair as well! Also, except for blue not being one of my colors, that second souvenir dress is basically everything I'd want in a vintage dress, what a find! :) I own a similar one in a red floral (but wouldn't mind another)
Hi Liz, I pray that you & yours are all doing well today. Girl those brown shoes are absolutely adorable & they look super cute on you!! So plz don't pass them down. Try to style them & then I know that you'll see that they're really cute!! I do the same thing I think ugh why did I buy this, but once I style it I wnd up really loving it!! I really love that striped sweater it looks soooo cozy!! There's nothing like a big cozy sweater for the fall/winter time!! Liz that 2nd sweater is Sooo Rad & yes I think that I just aged myself. But idc bcuz that sweater was 100% well wotth it!! I'm on the lookout for a really pretty quilted jacket & i haven't found a long wool trench coat but I'm believing that this is the year that I'm gonna score one!! That grey peplum jacket is so chic & I really like how you styled it with your skirt that has a mermaid hem. Yes plz put a video together about how you'd style your new finds. Have a Blessed & Beautiful day in Jesus name I pray, Amen👖🧥👚
love love LOVE that iggy sweater!! the mary janes are such a good find, they're so similar to ones a designer called nicole saldaña makes. can't wait to see how you'll style everything
I really love the structured tank top and the flared red corduroy pants. I really love warm colors. The ocean blue dress reminds me of some duvet covers I have - but that's not meant to be a bad thing. It suits you really good. I like the brown shoes and I can see nothing wrong with them. I, for myself, do not like socks with them, if you can clearly see them (say with a skirt), but that's because I'm a millennial maybe. I can imagine the shoes really well with colored tights (say rust orange). For that I can recommend the brand Snag Tights. Ever since I bought the first pair of them, I never looked back and threw out any other brand tights. They also have wool blend ones in which I LIVE in the colder moths.
I just used Rit Dye's dark green and it's kind of a perfect neutral-but-not-black color!! Def recommend using it for the skirt. I used it on a tan colored fabric so I think it would work on the blue p well
The car thing is so true. I have also never owned a car (thank you functional public transit) and it’s influenced my fashion so much. Examples: - I wish I could wear the pretty shoes with thin soles, thin heels, delicate materials, etc, but I just never reach for them because I need to be able to walk in all kinds of weather - I don’t buy short lightweight skirts because I’m always worried about wind - Like you said, I love crossbody bags because they’re so secure and easy to access when you’re walking around - I’m always searching for down jackets with hoods because you can’t hold open an umbrella when it’s sleeting - Layers instead of heavy jackets - I always get hot walking around so I need to be able to take inner layers off but keep a windproof outer layer on. I’ve learned my lesson about buying teddy coats.
WOW, what a great haul!!! Maybe try dying the blue tiered skirt a dark purple? And my immediate thought when you put on the brown shoes was that they were so cute on you!!! I don't think they look weird at all!!
THANK YOU to everyone who said the brown shoes are cute & shared their insights on them
Yes girl those shoes are cute!!! ❤ Just a fun twist to your adorable shoes ❤
it was all in your head - even after you said you thought they looked weird, it did not make me think it looked odd at all
I think the brown shoes are really cute! (Both in general and on you)
Hear hear! I agree!
100%! I will say, as someone who mostly wears platforms/big boots, i also think smaller/flat shoes look odd on me (I'm pretty sure it's just because I'm used to wearing clown shoes lol)
i agree!!!!
The brown shoes are so cute on you, it's all in your head!
Liz those shoes are a dream! Style them with everything and specially tights
Was about to say, tights/stockings with those shoes would look so cute!
As someone with a funky jacket addiction- welcome to the club, we have fun here!
My favourite ‘funky jacket’story. Is that I brought this cream, burgundy and green floral jacket from an antique store. Beautiful finds, especially the first botanical jacket, I love that kind of things :) and the flower brooch ❤
I was thinking of a dark purple, like aubergines, but I like these suggestions very much, too
The ribbon idea for the shoes is a great one! Maybe even brown velvet ribbon if it’ll fit through the holes for the laces.
Olive and burgundy was exactly my thought
with the mary janes- what if you tied them with a ribbon instead of that weird thin shoe lace?
I just found that IGGY sweater on a vendor site retailing for ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY FOUR dollars, so... you got it for a *steal*, congrats.
21:01 omg the duck cup! 🦆
Please make a styling video with all the new amazing finds!! Many of them are similar to pieces I have and I cannot wait to get outfit inspo 😍
11:22 love the shoes! Very old school teacher vibe in the best way!
The red flared pants??? Unique, magnificent, beautiful 😍
The browns shoes are so cute
7:20 eggplant purple or maroon! Something deep and rich that will go with the reds, greens, and blues that your wardrobe already features
I think the mary janes have a smaller profile than your usual chunky shoes! Worth exploring imo.
Love the haul! Sweater #1 might be my fave on you.
I think you could dye the chambray skirt dark brown or dark purple (I have both in my wardrobe), which may not sound super versatile, but with the colors you already have in your wardrobe and other autumnal colors, you’d be surprised how much you can style with them!
Dye the ruffle layer skirt khaki?
You're over thinking it - the shoes looked GREAT!
Fav piece - the black jacket 😍
🙋♀️
No way she gets that skirt khaki. Maybe with an orange/brown dye she could get it a camel but you have to work with the blue dye already in the skirt. The easiest colors would be purple, green, mid toned to dark brown or navy.
I thought khaki was a type of green…
i love the shoes
The Antiques Roadshow-esque intro brought me so much joy! Also I loved the items, great finds!
So excited to see these pieces!
Edit: I would love to see a video about cars/transport and how it impacts the way you dress!
That blue patchwork jacket is a dream come true. The back of it when you turned around *chefs kiss*
I love the shoes and think they look great on you!
Such great pieces! The Coach Ergo looks legit. I love watching people restore them on Tiktok.
I definitely want to see these pieces styled! My best Thrift find this summer was a "river washed" super comfy purple button down covered in a kiwi fruit pattern. I am loving it for summer but i also want to wear it under overalls and sweaters in the fall and winter.
The ruffled blue skirt could be dyed in a terracotta or wine color.
The rainbow sweater was soooooo good!!
Yay, I'm always looking forward to your thrift haul videos!! Also, I think the Mary janes are super cute on you!
Dude those brown shoes are amazing!!! What a great find. And yea they look super cute on you!
To add to the second top feeling nostalgic, it really reminded me of what the girls in the w.i.t.c.h. comics wore! It's such a cute piece!
omg YES I love this
The brown shoes look totally fine! I really dont know what youre seeing ... love them on you
the shoes look so cute on you! maybe it's just the heel height? that's usually the culprit for me when i think shoes look off on me; i prefer a little taller of a heel. but they don't look weird on you at all in my opinion!!
ok obsessed with the broach overcoat! What a good idea
Shoes are perfect. It is in your head no doubt. As for the skirt my color suggestion is kaki green. ❤
the red corduroy pants are stellar 🤩 also is the tie on the brown mary janes removable? i could totally see you putting the liz spin on em by swapping out for some ribbon (-:
The Brown shoes are an absolute dream! They dont look weird at all they look super cute 😊
The brown shoes are Adorable on you ! But what ever you feel best in 💗 I’d be excited to see you style them a few ways 👞🤎
I like fashion and I like how you sound excited when you talk about it. I get inspired by your ideas and taste in clothes. Thank you for these videos. 💕
THOSE BROWN SHOES ARE EVERYTHING! I don't think they're weird at all. They're so gorgeous. I think dyeing the skirt a darker green would work nice and hopefully match your wardrobe nicely!
That rainbow sweater is so cute. I can't wait to see you style all these pieces for fall!
That last jacket is amazing! Worth every penny.
I agree, we should wear our clothes throughout all the seasons, depending on the weather conditions we can add or remove any piece

Nooo, the shoes are so cute!! And look perfect on you!
I promise it’s all in your head Girly Pop ☺️. You look amazing in your new pair of thrifted shoes 🤎. I can see you styling them with almost every piece in your thrift haul. I can also see you styling them with your button up’s, jackets, and vests ✨.
That bagggg my dream
the embroidered overcoat is sooo coool!!!! so glad you found it!!!!
Those brown shoes look like they were made for you!! And the pale blue mini skirt would be cute and more fall-ish in a teal or forest green
the coat is a dream. it's such a unique piece. i'd change the buttons to another color/style honestly
Congratulations on all these treasures! I am very excited to see different ways you style them.

All the best!
It’s all in ur head, those shoes are adorable!! Id style them with a maxi skirt/dress.
All the jackets are so cool!
Also, high-waisted flare pants>>>>>>>
I’m so hyped for fall as well!! ✨🍂🎃

Loved your haul! Congrats on 100k, Liz!!!! 🫶💕✨
That skirt sounds so cute 🥺
i saw that rainbow striped sweater pop up on your indyx one day and literally have not stopped thinking about it. what a dream cozy fall piece!
My favs are the brown shoes, asymmetric jacket, and the longer patterned jacket.
GASP at that last jacket!!!! Also the brown shoes are perfect
agree w everyone, the brown shoes are so cute on you!!
that skirt would look so cute in a plum color!
its all in your head they brown shoes are adorable
What great pieces! The quilted jacket was my favorite! The coat and striped sweater are also amazing pieces!
The shoes are totally cute.. especially with the long socks 🫶🏻🫶🏻
It's all in your head. Those shoes are gorgeous and they look great on you.
I vote brown or forest green for dying the skirt 😊
Everything you found is absolute gold but I am so jealous of that green necklace!!
Can't wait to see you style these pieces! Yes please to the fall outfit ideas video! I love getting inspo from you Liz 💜
I love the orchid brooch, that’s so cool
Love this! So relaxing I love fall 🍁
the orange corduroy pants?!?!?!? to die for! they look so fun and funky on you. amazing find!

the mockneck sweater is SO UNIQUE and so lovely, it definitely looks like it was worth the money
The oceanic patchwork dress is just a 10/10 and with your red hair?!! Amazing
omg those brown shoes are incredible !!
That green necklace made me gasp 😍
The Mary Jane’s are so cute!! Literally look completely normal 😄
When I need to dye anything I always do green. It’s a color I know I’ll always wear. Brown would also be good as a neutral.
Amazing finds! Yes please, I would love to see a styling video where you style them!
Blue for fall is a very fun idea, because it's such a good compliment to all the traditional fall colors. Also, the shoes look fine. You're overthinking it, I'd say try changing out the lacing for something wider and see if you like that better.

the sweaters and jackets are all perfect i'm so jealous 😭😭😭😭😭 you have impeccable taste
Omg you found some real gems! I adore the Mary Jane’s (I think they looked amazing on you btw!) and the embroidered coat ❤ What a birthday find!
The shoes look great!
You could dye the light blue skirt olive for fall
Those shoes are cute as hell and I am extremely covetous of them! Huge slay!
I think the shoes are so cute, plus you could do some diy and replace the laces with a pretty ribbon if you wanted
love love LOVE that iggy sweater!! the mary janes are such a good find, they're so similar to ones a designer called nicole saldaña makes. can't wait to see how you'll style everything
The brown shoes are quite possibly THE most precious thing I've ever laid eyes on, I think they look FABULOUS on you!! I hope you end up loving them!
Examples:
- I wish I could wear the pretty shoes with thin soles, thin heels, delicate materials, etc, but I just never reach for them because I need to be able to walk in all kinds of weather
- I don’t buy short lightweight skirts because I’m always worried about wind
- Like you said, I love crossbody bags because they’re so secure and easy to access when you’re walking around
- I’m always searching for down jackets with hoods because you can’t hold open an umbrella when it’s sleeting
- Layers instead of heavy jackets - I always get hot walking around so I need to be able to take inner layers off but keep a windproof outer layer on. I’ve learned my lesson about buying teddy coats.
WOW, what a great haul!!! Maybe try dying the blue tiered skirt a dark purple? And my immediate thought when you put on the brown shoes was that they were so cute on you!!! I don't think they look weird at all!!
Those brown shoes would be cute with black tights and black leg warmers for fall!
