I really enjoyed the presentation. Glad The SD Museum of Art was able to acquire this portrait by John Singer Sargent, it is a very nice painting and illustrates the amazing talent of the artist. The expression he obtains in the face and of course I love what Sargent is able to do with fabric, so real and luxurious and with so few strokes. Hope it becomes one of the museums favorite paintings.

Thank you. Beautiful painting!! Great addition to the San Diego Art Museum.
Very informative about Sargent and his painting interests, biographical elements, the U.K. art community, and puts the sitter in context and how Sargent came to paint him. Great discussion; explains so much.

He could capture a lot by minimal effort!

Lovely talk, thank-you! I was so hoping to see closer views of the painting. I wonder if you would consider editing your video and inserting some close-up details? You are very fortunate to have such a lovely example of Sargent's work!

I adore Sargent, he also did many gorgeous male nudes that aren't often shown, they are fairly explicit, but were made with feeling clearly.
