Actually hard medium boiled egg depend on time not water.i am not sure but I thing you can use 100 ml water. Pls try and see.

Yes it will be off
But you have to check and stop before any problem bcoz when this will be very hot then it will be off. But after sometimes it will be on. Automatically so you have to maintain it
