love it....I know I asked you one time if you ever watched Richard Gene....and you told me yes definitely been watching him from the beginning.....I don't really have time to watch him much anymore, and haven't had a chance to crappie fish in many, many years.....but he's still my favorite channel, but you are number 2....which is saying a lot considering how many youtube fishing channels there are.......much, much respect for you man
R.G. is one of my favorites fishing channels as well. He would be my number 1 channel if I were a crappie fisherman. I am a bass fisherman 1st, and other species like crappie I put on a lower scale. Awesome video! Learned a few things I've never heard before. Just one thing, while water does run downhill, it doesn't always run north to south
This is correct brother, 92% of all lakes run from the north towards the oceans. I typically won't include the 8% that doesn't. I appreciate your comments and support 😎👍
You should check out the braid trick on getting hooks out that are passed the barb, they slip right out, it's pretty cool

@@speciman3427 jig colors are not chosen by times of the year. I choose a color that matches the current conditions im facing. Water clarity and sunlight plays the biggest roles when I choose my colors. I will cover this topic with more details in my next video. I'll give you some advice now cause you asked the question.... if you was fishing with live bait like shad or minnows in the spring, the same live bait can be fished in the summer or winter... meaning the live bait COLOR remains the same. Stick with jig colors that mimic live bait and you can catch fish year-round 😎✌

Another Great Video Anthony, Just got back from Kentucky lake were down there supporting a sister company and are trying to get some fishing time in as much as we can, Only doing shore fishing since we cant bring the boat. Any suggestions for crappie fishing from shore? Have not located any yet but we did find a promising lake we plan to try on our next trip Mid May. It's called Energy lake I believe it's off lake Barkley and then on Kentucky lake we found a bay at Ken Lake marine lots of shiners no crappie yet.
Keep the vids going always learning stuff from you.
Everything will revolve around the water temperatures. Northwest side of the lake will warm the fastest and rocks and pee-gravel will be your friend from the banks. I hope this helps 👍
