Thanks, you explained it better than the original videos, especially the fingersetting for the flats and sharps. Mine is a white clarii, and with the tomplay app for practicing is very helpful.

Jim, thanks for your interesting series on the Clarii Mini. I would want to use it with BLE Midi and I am just wondering how it would need to be set up with Reaper in Windows as a Midi Input. Does the Clarii Mini come with a Bluetooth to Midi software driver do you know?

It does not come with a Windows driver (as far as I know). There is a support email on the Robkoo site that might can help with that question. I connected the Mini to Reason 12 with USB but I didn't try Bluetooth. I can say that Bluetooth works flawlessly with iPad.

Thanks for that Jim. I see that Robkoo are advertising BLE Midi with Jamkoo for the Clarii Mini with Android - maybe that's what I would be looking for.

I can't speak to Android either. Historically it has not been a good platform for music apps but maybe that's changing? I really don't know

I play mine via Bluetooth (Android) and it is easy to install. With my tablet it don't work.

Interesting instrument....as it allows different sounds...hopefully not that technical to learn and that you dont need to connect to other MIDI gadgets to enjoy playing...

Very easy to learn. I probably won't use the onboard sounds for recording as they are sample-based and not that realistic, but they are fun just to play. I probably will explore MIDI gadgets before using it for any "real" projects.

Glad you are keen enough to go on to MIDI...I dont have the inclination to get there. If the onboard sounds are authentic enough, then an interest but if onboard sounds are just fun....I decline. Great for you....@@flukutronic

I'll try to do a better recording of the onboard sounds so you can decide if they are authentic enough for you. I guess I'll have to record from the headphone jack. I'm sure the tiny speaker (which is facing away fro the player) is not giving a good representation of what they really sound like.

Thanks Jim....the instrument is versatile and promising but if it needs interfaces etc, I am inclined to stay away as I prefer a simple way of making music. The NAF is the simplist way, you need only an amplifer to play in public....without the need for pedals etc. Happy exploring for you.@@flukutronic
