man its cool that the very last thing he said is what would have won the derb. boat docks. I think if dean would have kept fishing those docks the last hour he would have edged out wheeler. We had lots of rain the last couple months here in the Carolinas and those fish slid up in the docks to get out of the unstable water. Very cool series thanks Ott.
I've only been living down here a while now so this will be my 3rd spring fishing south. Originally from southwest Ohio. Bass fishing down here is much better! Santee Cooper is one my favorites fishing in shallow cypress woods is where I do the best. I caught a 11.4 last summer. Not to fond of the gators considering I fish from a kayak. They don't keep me from going wherever I want though. . Good luck
Heading up Thursday-Saturday to fish for blue cats this week. If I’m blessed enough to see you out on the water, I’ll give you space but gonna have to shout to say hello. Best of luck to you.
Santee cooper and the cooper river are absolutely beautiful. I fish the river more because I'm closer to Charleston but the big lakes are still freakin awesome. My PB came out of the hatchery on the lower lake. Gonna be cold tomorrow and Wednesday morning. Bundle up and good luck! Might come to weigh in or out on the water to heckle somebody if it warms up. Get out my hole. Lol.
Definitely gonna find the scopers running the channels chasing the bait balls scoping the bait chasers! I sure hope fishing prevails over spotlighting!
Mr. Defoe how do you feel about the forward facing Sonar? I see so many new Young Anglers just staring at the Screen and not really Learning anything about Instinct or Intuition.
I’ve been watching Bass Masters since the 80’s and the Legends like Houston and Parker caught Giants without FFS and now find myself as with many others just tuning it out along with MLF. It’s like Video Game Fishing and yes I could absolutely add the Sonar but it’s ridiculous to stare at screens instead of your actual Fishing Reel and your amazing Surroundings and enjoying being out Fishing when so many aren’t able. Semper Fidelis
Man I like this new series!!! Gonna have to watch it again and take notes!!! My local lake is 2 lakes connected by a canal!! Best of luck there!!

I'll be watching on live...Hope you have another amazing year!
Good luck this week and be safe out there! Also would be awesome to see a breakdown of how you set up your color shading on your mapping!
Great video.
Slow rolling a spinnerbait in those pre spawn ditches might be the ticket. Catch some big ones Ott.

Water was very muddy two weeks ago when I went to Moultrie. Good luck to you.
Where would fish this in the summer time ? Or how would you ? Still flip cypress and mattes ?
Yes. Some of the deeper trees and even brush piles out deeper.

Early April @OttDefoe,
would the smaller lake be the better option to poke around in and what would you keep tied on?
Thanks
Was there couple weeks ago fishing a kayak tourney. Water was incredibly muddy and a lot of wind. Hoping things have settled down.
Nice video Ott. Good luck this week. A little swim jig action would be sweet. God Bless.

good luck, like you said haven't heard any big numbers lately, but i'm sure you'll find them.
Hopefully you get the buzz bait bite going!

Everything on the east coast is chocolate milk but this coming week is the best weve had all year.(im in Virginia)
I hear it’s very muddy right now
Heard it’s chocolate milk….I’d hit deadend canals with better, warmer water……take that scopers! 😊
Both lakes are low
