@@xygn33b no problem man you deserve all the sweet comments! And i downloaded the album, passed the whole last night listening to it, im not even joking
thank you so much, i'm actually subbed to you which is so cool :) i love it when that happens. i thought your stuff was really creative and quite underrated
Ha-haa! Well, I hope you are proud of it, these sound absolutely awesome. My favorites from this have to be home, runtime, and exception. I'm gonna put this in my playlist and send it to my friends! I know some who'd love to hear this!
@@xygn33bNo problem! I love supportin' people through anything, I like to see how they start out and become better. Also I forgot to mention that part at 22:55. That really caught my attention, sounds like you have your very own version of the amen break. Awesome!
:D i'm not really sure to be honest. i think it depends on when i make the drums, because whenever i make the drums later it always ends up being a lot calmer and they blend in a lot better. i also listen to it a lot without the drums because i get ear fatigue quite easily, so maybe that helps some good stuff on your channel btw :)
i assume you're talking about the snare at 8:30 :) tldr: it's just a lot of reverb and two quite simple snare samples, pitched up, with one of them completely distorted i took a snare from a free pack i found somewhere on the internet i'm going to be honest (and tbh i have no clue where i got it from). it was just a generic dubstep style snare, most things would have worked i think i faded it out early so it was shorter and pitched it up a lot then i layered it with another snare that sounded less powerful. it was kind of like a short 909 type snare? especially for this one, most things would have worked, even percussion sounds tbh. i pitched this up but made sure i tuned it to the key. i put this second snare into an eq where i cut the lows and highs, and boosted at that exact frequency with the lowest bandwidth which exaggerates that pitch a lot. i then put that snare through distortion so that this second snare is basically just a distorted pitch with some noise. i sent them both to the reverb bus (second snare more than the first one) and this is probably why they sound so much bigger than they actually are. the reverb bus is also sidechained which ducks it before revealing the 'tail'
i don't really have a goal for this. to give you my most honest thoughts, i just wanted to have some way of expressing myself because i struggle to do that in daily life. the album is just something i made while i had some time, for me to look back on in future.
those are just one part of the sliced break being repeated extremely fast, which kind of gives it a pitch of its own? its quite fun to mess around with
You are awesome!
after listening to the whole album, i have concluded, IM GONNA DOWNLOAD THIS ASAP. OMFG THIS IS SO GOOD WAA😭
Thank you for the encouragement you gave me, and for listening to all of it 🙏

oh wow, that's made it all worth it :) i'm so happy that i went through with it now!
Exception is so so good. I love the stolen vocals. So small but adds so much.
Thanks, it's quite satisfying for me that you noticed them :)

edit:how do you make something so chill when breakcore drums are playing, it's so cool
:D

Where did you get the huge snare sample with the long tail? I need a snare like that for my own music as well

What's your goal for all of this anyway
I need an honest answer
And please dont like my comment

@@xygn33b That's pretty good to express yourself and thoughts and emotions
@@xygn33bIS that why you express your feelings towards things that go through your life in the description?
Also how do you make these "brrrt" glitches
