My experience is: Someone gets shot in the chest doesn't call a hit, gets shot in the head complains about head shots.

I don't mind head shots at me, i wear thick head gear and i always hear the hit.
Though im trying to get neck protection, its my weakest upper layers of clothing and recently i got shot point blank in the neck. Kinda a pickle when i dont want soar neck because Physicall job labor.
@@gunslingerluckytankijunky its just a BB, a small piece of plastic that only causes a slight sting. You'll be fine without neck protection. It's the face and teeth that are the real problem areas which can be solved with a mask
@Mild Aggression Even so, in airsoft (or even a real war) majority of people hide their body behind cover and only reveal their face and gun so the face is the literally the only thing to shoot, so its totally uncalled for when the recipient complains he got shot in the face when he was shooting out of a door way to start with lol.

I’ve only played for 3 seasons so far and I figured it out even before my very first game since then Ive been shot in the head to many times to count and I’m sure I’m older then most of these guys and I’ve never cried about it

When I was a kid we used real bb guns, not airsoft. Half the time we didn't even wear eye protection (mostly because we were stupid - don't try this at home kids).
There's a Horse Chestnut tree on my dad's property, every Fall it drops hundreds of hard, large pebble sized chestnuts. As you can guess, we very frequently had Chestnut Wars.

Played airsoft for the first time last year before lockdown. I actually enjoyed been peppered with bbs. Went in a t-shirt came home with blood all over my arms it was great. People kept calling me rambo

I never knew I needed a classic Brit playing airsoft in my life, but my eyes have been opened. Great videos man.
I have a solution: make head protection mandatory from the site entrance. No face protection ? Sure, no entry for you. Or alternately, obligation to sign a charter at the entrance, including the non-liability of the site and the other players in the event of injuries with the only exceptions being clear case of willing led assault with supporting evidences. Or both.
If this kind of crap continues, it will get to the point when some lawyers or insurances lobbies will cry until the law puts its hands on everything. And nobody will like the result.
That's a terrible idea. It should always be optional. I only wear it if I'm in extreme CQB scenarios. But I understand that if I don't wear it I can get shot in the face. I don't know how other people can't understand it.
@@DelcoAirsoft I only wear a face mask/goggles(I wear glasses, so necessary eye protection is brought with me anywhere I go, lol) when I have to. 7+ years of airsoft and never been shot in the face. Plus most shots I do take hurt for about 10-15 seconds. Not painful enough to whine about it.
That's how it is over here in the states! At my field, you're required to wear a full-face covering until you're 18, and regardless of how old you are, you're required to sign a waiver saying you're liable for if you get hurt. Not once have I seen someone complain about getting shot in the face, unless they're just saying it hurts, then they get back into it! Sometimes we even get people who get a tooth shot out and they just laugh it off and keep playing.
Here in Germany every single field has a statement you sign if you want to play that says you are obligated to wear full facial protection and are responsible for any and all injuries that result from you not doing so
Or make headshots mandatory on anyone not wearing head protection, just so they know they won't have the right to complain.
I ran an airsoft site in Cheshire for 11 years. We discouraged headshots for many obvious reasons, but if it's all you have to hit, then the hit is valid and justfifed. With that said, you have to recognise that at no point are you firing anything balliistic, meaning the weight of the projectile is so light it can be adversly affected by environmental changes, such as wind and rain. We can't control this, and it is because of this, we can't go calling out every player who land a a headshot when full body is in view.
It's been a few years since i last played, and i'm now starting to get back into it. I for one, wouldn't go crying about being hit in the head. Take your hit, grow the f**k up and accept you are playing an extreme contact sport!
Or just wear a facemask like I do. I don't like getting hit in the face, so I just wear a mask with mesh front and padded sides. Very comfortable and still easy to feel when you get hit.

@@yorhaunit8s well it can hurt quite a bit and there is nothing wrong with protection, also i know some guys who are into realism and they dont like masks, but on the other side what exactly is wrong with aiming for the body ?
@@maximilianenghuber9671 so far my practice in airsoft tells me that aiming in airsoft is more like a wish than an exact control. You may wish to shoot in the body, but BBs are really light and are affected by a lot of things. Also, a lot of players wear plate carriers and a ton of pouches - and if you run a bolt action rifle, chances are they won't notice a single hit to that area. In this video he is more or less aiming at top chest area -neck, shoulders.
And I don't get how anyone can complain about GETTING HIT in airsoft. I get such thing as overshooting is bad, but overall in airsoft you should expect to be hit with BBs. Anywhere, not just to areas you agree to.
I know some players who don't wear masks for realism, they also don't ever complain about getting headshots.
Cheaters, people complaining about getting shot, and stupid range rules are the reason I quit. Every time I think about going back I'll watch a video like this and be reminded why I left. Kudos to you for stickin it em and recording the show!

I love the heads shots, keep them coming.
I play at one of the hardest shooting fields in my area and the only headshot rule is don't purposely aim at the head if you have a easier shot on the body. But you are fully allowed to shoot at heads and thus the organizer always starts each game by saying you will be shot in the head and you better not whine.
Works pretty well, those running without face protection know what they signed up for and often end up laughing and bleeding at the same time.
BBs fly wherever, you can't expect to have safe areas on you when you are the target.
Wear faceprotection, wear gloves. No worries! Otherwise, stay at home

It’s almost like people don’t call a single shot hit and firing multiple shots on a semi auto isn’t enough. I mean come on. It stands to reason that air soft is as much a game of skill as it is chance. Especially in terms of snipers. They get one shot one kill. And when plebs choose not to call there hits it only makes it worse. Most peeps can’t ignore a headshot, not that the sniper for the most part can control where the beebee’s actually connect. Just toughen up or go home.

When I snipe I only wear eye protection too. I got shot 3 times in the face from less than 50 feet away. It is kindof expected. I dont wear the face protection so im more comfortable and I risk getting hit in the cheek, mouth, nose, chin, ear lobesssss. Its not a big deal. Wear a mouth gaurd and play the game.

I remember I was playing with a buddy on his property. He lit me up at like 10 feet away with an ak, shot me in the face and busted my lip. Dripping with blood, I didn't take it seriously. It is just a game, and I learned my lesson and bought a mask before the next event. Seeing grown men get their feelings hurt is hilarious though

An airsoft site I use to go to always said it was warfare not wealth fare when players moaned as the Marshall knew that the player that was complaining was doing it themselve. Keep playing, recording and enjoying every airsoft site you visit

Well let’s just say the judge considered him shooting me the first punch so I was justified in hitting him several time. Shooting someone after they are out is a form of assault

Seems like this guy is a bit of a punt........heard from alot of airsofters/channels that he SPECIFICALLY aims for upper mass (above the ribcage) whenever he can get away with it.....and calls foul when he's had someone get revenge
Well, I do understand headshots when you are a sniper and every shot you take must count. You can't really waste your shots on the torso where the target might not feel and call them. As an AEG player, I can fill the target with BBs and make sure he feels them and calls it, but as a sniper, I'd go for the head too. The problem has a very simple solution: head and face protection.

1. You shouldn’t play a game where you can possibly get shot in the head/neck/face and
2. Wear head/face protection.

In my recent game I couldn't get my face pro to fit comfortably got shot in the neck and on the nose by a sniper (assuming the same guy) had a laugh and carried on its part of the game kind of pathetic people complain

Back in the early 80’s me and my mates used to use air rifles and pistols but wear motorcycle helmets.
My favorite quote from watching airsoft sniper vids is from a site supervisor who said "It's windy so the shots don't always go where you want and if you're gonna poke your head out expect to get hit." They obviously didn't encourage headshots but they say it how it is
I just don't understand people crying so much. Most of the time people are behind cover and you can only aim for the head. Other times you shoot them in a limb or other fleshy "center mass" area and they shrug it off and don't call it out. It seems the majority of the time people are honest and call out shots are when they're hit in the head. If you're wearing a helmet/mask you'll be fine. It won't hurt. And if you choose to not play with one...that's on you. This game is about being realistic without actually shooting people with live ammunition. If you don't like that then why even play? It's not like you put the barrel against their head and pulled the trigger. So many guys want to look all tough by not wearing mask, yet they'll wear a ton of padding on their body so they can't feel shots. I just don't get why people complain so much. If you don't like that there's a good chance you could be head shot then don't play the game. Simple as that.

I’ve never played airsoft, this just showed up in my feed and looked interesting. However, after seeing about 1/3 of his other body hits not being called on other videos, if they’d call honest hits there would be less headshots. Just my .02 from the outside looking in.
To pay devils Advocate, sometimes with the chest rigs on it IS hard to feel the hits . The proper solution is to wear a helmet, glasses/ goggles, and a mesh face mask.

You're correct, the amount of people I hit in the body, they just carry on. Because they wear some stupid armour they don't need. In my opinions, full masks should be supplied at every event. No helmet and light clothes.

It's a bit too illogical to complain about where you keep getting hit by an opp, man haffi protect their necks or stay exposed and face the consequences. Surely they can buy a helmet if they don't want to take hits to the head, so that should be the advice given instead of trying to prohibit headshots. Inevitably, tryna stop it will start headshot season for subconscious bonus points.

I don’t airsoft skirmish, but thinking of getting into it as I was a regular in the U.K. paintball scene back in the late 80’s to mid 90’s, even back then face protection was a field requirement. I wouldn’t dream of attending a skirmish event without adequate face protection. I’m amazed the organisers don’t have this as a requirement to play, or get those who decide not to wear face ppe to sign a waiver.
Love how they claim he is a danger yet Mustang is the one properly dressed for the occasion. I don't think I've seen a single video where he isn't wearing some sort of face/neck protection and yet the ones who show up with nothing or facial hair as a substitute complain when it hurts to get shot in exposed areas. Hey there folks don't want those pesky head shots hurting your fragile face? Try this so completely new concept....... Face protection! lol

Oddly, at my field it’s always the milsim guys that complain about headshots. Of course none of them wear full face protection.

As someone who played a ton of airsoft in mid 2000’s when it started getting big, headshots were a must because having someone not call hits multiple times ended up exposing sniper positions because you had to take more shots to get someone to call hits. Keep up the great videos. If they don’t like getting hit in the face they make great equipment to prevent injury

For real. I started doing airsoft as a way to get some physical exercise just a year ago, I started with a basic, shitty, $80 pistol, a boonie hat and some safety glasses. I stuck out like a sore thumb cause I was wearing normal clothing. I got shot in the neck and cheek a lot, a few times near the mouth - but not once did I complain cause I'm not a pussy. I had a great time. Now I do airsoft about once a month and have a $2000 gear set, even got a full mesh facemask. I can be hit in the face all day, unless someone is throwing fucking rocks.

First off, KM, I really in enjoy your videos, keep at it. Which is odd for to say because I don't like airsoft ;). I don't play airsoft because I don't like the MilSim aspect of it. (which is why I loved the knight here) Anyhow, I wondered when I would come across a video about headshots on your channel. I do go by the statement 'It's airsoft, of you don't want to get hit, don't play.' and I think its funny that it is grown men playing tought guy MilSim games and then cry about getting hit in the head. Now I know that a plastic bb hurts and so I can understand the level of frustration, but hey, man up! You are playing that game and act all cool and tough till you get hit...wtf.
However, I have to say, from your way of editing your videos, with the crosshair overlay it does look to an outsider as if you are aiming for the head more often even with centre mass available. Now this might just be the video editing but I still wanted to point it out. On the other hand, I see it a thousand times in your videos that you hit someone centre mass on their gear and they don't call the hit. They either don't feel it through the plate carrier or they just don't call it. Which is why I understand if you were to go for the head more often because that is a hit people feel and cheaters will call because the want to complain about it.
So in the end, this is just my observation from someone who does not play airsoft but still enjoys your videos. Keep it up. Stay healthy, stay safe!

Side note, as a non airsoft event organizer (Though I am hoping to open at least a small field here on my property), the stress and BS from people constantly trying to get me to solve all their petty squables is insane. I essentially had a mental breakdown myself from dealing with it all. So thank you for highlighting issues like this. You have no idea how much I personally appreciate it.

Not long been watching but love your videos :-) to me its simple each airsoft shoot shout print out a piece of paper for everyone to sign before they join a game to acknowledging they are aware of all the safety equipment that should be worn and f they so choose not to wear it then they are liable for any injury or upset it may cause if they get shot :-P lol seriously its like going to sort a wasps nest out without a bee suit on then crying like a little b**** when you get stung!!!!! lmfao

I learnt a good lesson paint balling a long time ago, wear the right bloody kit, and if not don't complain when hit. Shot in my adams apple by my chum which left a lovely welt that looked and was the size of a strawberry for about a week...stinger lol but awesome fun, but never tried airsoft unlike my pals. Great vids I may add though lol

As an airsoft sniper I do go for the body as much as possible BUT when I encounter a cheater, you get two chances to call it, third shot is the head. Airsoft has protection equipment to protect you face, if you don't want to wear it then don't bitch and moan when a wind ultered flight path changes and you get wacked in the face.
There is always a chance a shot may not be felt... such as hitting a sleeve, or a backpack... But if it obviously hits the body, then I agree...after 2 or 3 hits- go for the head
I started out playing as a sniper and I am not a fan of being shot in the face and I understand it happens, but i always try to go for not the face with my first couple shots even when running an AEG. If the only thing they are presenting is their head then I have no other choice. Or when im sniping and I see them react to the first shot then look around and continue playing then the next shot is going to the head/face or bare skin.
I don't play airsoft but I dohave experience in playing games like this (painball. Yeah, I know. Totally different games. Ever get shot in the face by one? They probably hurt worse than a BB!) I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos. In regards to these 'Karens' crying about headshots, they know that they can happen. They should already know that particular factors can effect the way a BB goes through the air even if the shooter is aimed center mass. I mean, they should use common sense and wear protective headgear, yeah? Oh, wait. Common Sense: So rare, it should be considered a super power.

I had one the other week straight to the forehead. It hurt like hell, and annoyed me a good bit, but it wasn't the other guys fault that all I presented was my head.
