Really cool guy. I don’t think I really believe in this chakra stuff, and I really just came for the ASMR, but he’s clearly an educated psychologist. I appreciate the balance of treatment. He helps the patient help themselves.
Carl Jung believed that human ritual developed in order to conjure up the appropriate motivation required to complete our necessary tasks. Sort of like listening to high energy music before an athletic performance. The purpose of the ritual is to condition an internal psychological response. It makes sense from an evolutionary perspective.
@@stevenburrito7032 Yup, most of this stuff with all the energy and the spiritual part is debatable on a scientific level, but it is actually good from a psychological standpoint
@@richardmangelmann4975 there's also this psychological concept about how a sense of awe or belief can be helpful to a person. This might be simply looking at nature, or believing in the power of prayer, or beta rays or whatever your jam is.
A positive effect born of pure belief is still a positive effect, I figure. Scientifically, on paper, it might be total bunk, but if a recipient gets a measurable, beneficial effect from it, I'd say it's absolutely worthwhile. The power of suggestion is incredible, see: children being cured of psychogenic cough, or some of the medieval hysterias that afflicted whole villages.
Thank you for another great video. You post a new video regularly which is nice. You and ASMR Twix are my favourite ASMR artists right now. I know people don’t get the therapy you’re having but it’s not dangerous or bad for your health like drugs and it’s relaxing so why not?
