First, Yugoslavia was not a communist country. Second, the border is protected by border police and Gendarmerie, even if you don't see them, trust me, they see you. Border police sometimes performes searches several miles inside Serbia to detect illegals and their traffickers, using covert patrols and modern technology like thermal vision, drones etc. Hence the illusory relaxeness of the border. Especially because the illegal immigrants are more focused on that border since Hungarians built the fence. Serbs and Romanians always had good relations, during the Austro Hungarian times they were considered the same people and writen down in census as "Orthodox". The Romanian princess became the queen of Yugoslavia, even Ceaușescu(now that was a real commie) didn't manage to spoil that friendship during his reign. At 6:04 You found military rifle racks, You can see names of the soldiers that kept their rifles there, I see not just Serbian names but also some Hungarian like Heđeši(Hegyesi) because military service was cumpolsury for all nationalities in Vojvodina.
It is funny, but Serbs and Romanians are like best friends on Balkan, we never fought with each other in history, on helped and formed alliances vs Ottomans... People are supercool in this area and they some have property in both countries,. There's no real reason to have border between Romania and Serbia, everyone is liked on both sides, just walk about like a real free person.
Im from Zrenjanin province in Serbia which actually borders Romania and never actually went to Romania myself i was always near the border looking at some of the terrain across the border and it always made me wonder how do those borders look like cause i knew that these two countries are in good relations it really made me think what is the mother nature border and how does it look like, this video really made my day and knowlege better, you have my respect, definetly gonna visit it myself, if you plan on seeing the border from Romanian side call me im really up to these adventures 😂
You mentioned that Romania is part of the Schengen zone. That's actually partially true. Romania (and Bulgaria) are part of the Schengen area only for air and maritime cross-border traveling. Cheers!
True. But for foreigners who are allowed into Schengen only 90 days every 180 days, every day spent in Romania takes away from the 90 days, regardless of how Romania was entered (which includes via a land-border). For example, if you visit Romania for 90 days via land, and then try to visit Germany, you will be rejected, because “partial Schengen” isn’t something the Schengen countries consider when determining if you’ve overstayed in the zone

She refers to the day of 7th of january (for romanians), which is Baptism day (I don't know the exact name), and serbs celebrate the Christmas, according to the old calendar. Hence the gap to 19th of january for serbs.
you are very much incorrect. as of march 2024, time spent in romania or bulgaria count toward schengen days allowance for any travelers, regardless of entry method, with border-free travel if by sea or air. and starting in january 2025, the land borders are set to be eliminated as well
Brat se dobro zabavlja. Veliki pozdrav

Monkey with oakleys and a douche cap giving illegal migrants easy points of entry. This degenerate voted for Kamala.
