So happy for you Kimberly!! I live in Canada and totally understand what you are saying how Canada has changed for the worse. I was a teacher as well and could not wait to retire just because of what was going on. If we were a younger couple I think we would move as well. I wish you lots of luck and happiness in your new chosen land!!

That is what Kimberly found being in Novi Sad and BG especially with the younger generation.

@@RelocationSerbia People should consider more smaller cities and towns. Belgrade is literally worst thing in Serbia :)

It is funny because when we in Serbia watch TH-cam videos, we often have these "relocate to Canada" ads, and we think - are you crazy! General standard if you work in a shop or something local is way off than in Canada, but if you can work from home online (and internet is great here), try better place. Plus you can travel from here to about anywhere in world without worrying about sanctions, visas or stuff, including to Russia, China, any European country is hours drive, etc.

It's interesting how different perspectives shape our views on relocation. Working from home definitely opens up so many possibilities, especially with the great internet connectivity in Serbia!

Well, actually, I would argue that it isn't much different in the economic sense. I live in Vancouver and make more money that an average household income. And yet, I live month to month and if it wasn't for golden years when I was able to put tens of thousands in RRSP, I would now be worried how I would retire. Now, if you take my daughter as an example, who is just starting out and with the salary that would be less than half of mine, her outlook on future here is grim. I lived in Yugoslavia until 1993, then moved to Canada. I also lived in Serbia between 2012 and 2017, and then again in Trudeau's Canada. This is why I feel comfortable commenting on both countries. People in Serbia are of the opinion that West is a promise land, which is nonsense. If you make 2000 euros as an IT professional in Serbia you can live better than making 4000 euros in a comparable position here.

If you can work online for Canada and keep your income on the same level, then its a win win.Inflation hit the whole world, and i hope things will get better.
    Welcome!!🎉🎉❤

    First, you have 666 followers😂
Second, you have 2 Serbias, and that is whats confusing people who come to this glorious country-theres laid-back Serbia of goverment and public sector employes (the kind of foreigneres usualy meet while dealing with papers and bureaucracy) and theres a hustle burnout Serbia of private corporations/market oriented bussiness where people work 12 hours a day ..
First ones are guys from kafanas and polako lifestyle, second ones are discrete tax-paying heroes of this great nation...
    Dont mix 'em..

It's surprising, isn't it? Serbia has made some impressive strides in tech innovation and infrastructure. There are definitely some areas where they outpace the US and Canada!
