    I love this film it's one of my favorite Judy garland films Margaret o'brien is such a wonderful actress and Judy garland was so sweet to her when she was a child rip Judy garland

    Judy refused to sing H Y A M L C because the original lyrics were. something like. Have yourself a marry little Christmas. This could be your last.zFrom now on we'll all be living in the past.. Judy said. I can't sing that to this little girl . So finally he agreed to rewrite it. Thank you Judy.

    It's amazing how the stories change over the years. I believe Judy refused to sing H.Y.A.M.L.C. unless the ending was changed. Hugh Martin refused to rewrite it, so Judy was suspended by Mayer until she would agree to sing the song. She held out until Tom Drake convinced Hugh Martin to rewrite the ending. Judy liked the new ending, agreed to sing it and went back to work, and the rest is history.
