You’re a life saver. The interior triangle piece just fell off today on my car and I got the life of me had no idea how to put it back. I think I need to remove the whole unit at attach it to the triangle before placing it back on the a pillar. I’ll give it a try.

Thanks so much for this. Gave me the confidence to remove a rattling door card on my 992 and (I think!) fix it. Couple of things: You were correct, only one screw needs removing on the end cap and you made the door lock “widget” removal lock easy.. I found it snagged with the little bracket above it, took some fiddling and pushing to pop it out.

What did you do to fix the rattle? I think mine's rattling around the speaker grill near the door grab handle.

@@aaronlim5566 I did several different things. One major source of the the rattle was (on the Burmeister speakers at least) the small tabs that fold over to fix the grill to the door internally were, in a few cases, folded over so that the ends just touched the plastic. This caused buzzing at certain frequencies plus noises on bumps. I also lined areas I thought might be causing problem with Tessa tape, I wedged bits in to places where I could see plastic touching plastic. My driver side door just had buzzing and the tab trick fixed it totally. The passenger side door still had the odd noise coming from it and despite at least six attempts I never quite got to 100%, maybe 95!

@@dworkin7110 Thanks for replying! My Burmester 992 has that annoying ticking / tapping noise when going over bumps or rough roads.
Did you remove the Burmester speaker grill to fix the tabs or are they on the backside of the door card?

@@aaronlim5566 Tabs are on the backside of the door card. The tabs lock the grill to the card itself. I also remember taping over the tabs with Tessa tape. Don't think it did anything but you never know. The only really tricky part about getting the door card off is the door pull cable - 5:52. I sometimes struggled to get the white plastic piece out and putting the whole thing back into place whilst holding the door card is awkward. Also - the little triangular cover - 0:50 turned out to be another source of rattles on mine. It was broken, probably at the factory.

@@dworkin7110 I'll give this a try and hopes it fixes my rattle. I took it to the service centre but the car just spent 2 weeks there and still had the rattle.
Thanks for helping me out! Really appreciate it.

Ok I was able to remove the trim and fix the triangle. Now I am having a difficult time putting it back together - basically a reverse of 0:47
