I am another new subscriber sent here from Scott at Cold War Motors. And I agree with Scott.....this channel deserves half a million subs. I have enjoyed going back and watching all of the older vids. Mr. Dutton is a treasure.
I came here at the suggestion of Scott at Cold War Motors also. So glad I did. This is now my favorite channel. What a delightful character. I could listen all day.
I was going to build an offroad golfcart/awd from a quad and cart...Then saw wheelcars. I showed my wife wheelcars and she was sold... Now I see shed racing... another step up, and I LIKE IT! she wont know there is a hot motorcycle engine in it till its to late! Ill have to put a decent muffler on or itll be a no go. Nefarious plans are brewing...But since the wife is a certified welder and im a machinist, she's gonna bust me no matter what when I beg her to make some pretty welds for me. And I must include a full cage, I have a history with gravity, I'm dumb like that.
The intro and music before Ivan spoke is a brilliant touch to the channel. Ivan getting used to being on the telly as well now . Seems er seemless. Well done all, brilliant channel
That little JAP looked lost in there! I don’t know why, but I was expecting something much larger. Tanya knows to keep The Cat in frame, and vignettes of John toiling away to please us. A treat as always, thanks to you all.
The Emeryson, my old car Ivan. I rebuilt it and hillclimbed it for several years and got it handling fairly predictable. Sold it to a gent in Avignon about 4 years ago. I'll text my phone no. Colin
Agree with Scott from CWM , Ivan's channel deserves subscribers as it's a unique insight into one mans passion for all things automotive. Have followed Scott and the agents for many years and once again the passion for old cars and their skill sets makes for great content! Proud to be a subscriber to both channels!
GOOD ON YOU IVAN YOU CANT TAKE IT WITH YOU SO IF YOU CAN INJOY DO IT . NICE TO SEE JOHN . SOME TIME HE SMILES . YOU KNOW . GOOD MAN TO HAVE AROUND AND OF COURSE SUSEY
Super cool race car as well as Suzie's bmw! Your kitty cat has a nice place to hang out and you can tell he really likes your company. So glad Scott from Cold War Motors got the word out on your channel. Take care!
My two favourite channels Ivan, Suzie, John and Tanya with Shed Racing and Scott and the agents at Cold War Motors. So thrilled to hear you guys have met and please please please do a live video together. I will wake whatever time needed in Oz. Brilliant content again. Thanks Team.
Good on Scott at Coldwar referring your channel. I think the two of you will get on famously. 👍 I need to follow your example and find a girlfriend who buys neat old cars. 😉
I have been following Scott Newstead at Cold War Motors for ten years now. You and he will likely have a great conversation. He is very skilled bit seems to think he is just a guy working in his sheds. I wish I had half of his skills. Anyway...looking forward to you two chatting. Thx Ivan stay safe.
That tii looks lovely, same colour as the 2002 I had, brilliant car - once I’d sorted the timing out, someone had put the chain on one tooth out, went a lot better after that
What a great couple of cars! I look forward to learning about the Emeryson 500 especially, and more Salmson action anytime! I'd of course be honoured to have a chat with Ivan whenever he would like. Please feel free to send us a note when you are back home from the latest adventure and we can try to make the technology work? All the very best from here!
It all sounds terrific! Susi and you will get on really well with Scott of Cold War Motors, he and his palls at Ardrossan in Alberta are such good fun to say nothing of Scott’s amazing bodywork skills!
Thank you. Good video. The Emeryson is intriguing, the Portugal Salmson is looking very nice and the BMW is mint. Looking forward to upcoming videos on these cars. Also, nice to have such a well behaved cat🙂! Cheers from NZ🇳🇿.
Those TIIs are just great cars if you can keep them from turning to dust. I gave up on mine and went back to 7.4 litre Plymouths. Those Diffey brothers are the reason I started digging Model A's. I saw them having so much fun getting them muddy in Classic and Sportscar magazine and wondered why I didn't have one. Good guys
Another great video. We are expecting 2 JAP engines in shortly. A long term client. We will see what will need to be done. He purchased both as non running examples. Be good. Remain safe. Go out and have a Deluxe week!
Now that the cat has had a taste of the sofa, he'll never be satisfied with the garage again. But that's good because he won't be stepping into puddles of brake fluid & such. I lost a good cat to brake fluid once, was terribly traumatic.
That's a novel twist. Having your cars cat scanned for rust. 😂😂 good to see you not taking your own advice and buying more cars. More videos on the way no doubt. Have fun with it all while you're able.
I was looking for a 'cat-scanned' comment.'Jonathan W' has 'Nana cat' checking all his steam engines, and she did his vehicles for years.(He's rebuilding 20+ industrial and small ship steam engines, with several running).
Waiting with 'bated breath for more about the Emerson., one of my favorite race cars. Saw BOB DAHNKEN racing one with Long Island Sports Car Association at Bridgehampton and other North East tracks in the 50s.
I've Never seen a chain driven front wheel drive,30's,let alone a Racer.Thank you for sharing it with us.(Don't worry about Hugh Grant not recognizing you.He strikes me as the type to introduce himself to the mirror each time) :).Scott, from 'ColdWarMotors' did send many of us to your channel, and we're all glad. You have such amazing vehicles, and we don't have 'races of classics' like you do.
Hi Ivan Suzie directed me here to your channel. I met you at The Six Bells Classic Car Meet just the other day. It looks like I have a fair bit of back catalogue to watch 😮 I better get busy and watch a few. 🙂 Subscribed. 🙂😎👍 See you again some time. Regards Steve
You have some great cars! MG TD is awesome, I have owned, well, cant remember either! Too slow for Ivan Im afraid. 500cc JAP on methanol, be better,,,K,,,
I enjoyed todays video with all the updates and goings on. I’ve enjoyed watching your Salmson’s on the road and trialing. Great to see these relics being used and not laid up in some museum or in private collections never to be seen. I have a question simply because I’m not familiar with Salmsoms. I noticed the red car’s radiator clouds one reads Salmsom. While the car you recently purchased if France says SMS. When did the badging change? Just curious
IVAN IF YOU EVER HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE BOSH INJECTION. GET IN TOUCH WITH ANOTHER UTUBER WHO DOES LOTS OF BMW AND MERCS. HE GOES BY. M539 RESTORATION HE DID THE SAME MOTOR SUSEY HAS JUST BOUGHT. WORTH A LOOK OK BUDDEY.
Quote of the century "when I get Old" love this Channel
We men have to age a bit,we don't "grow-up" or older. When we get behind the wheel,we're 15 again.
I am another new subscriber sent here from Scott at Cold War Motors. And I agree with Scott.....this channel deserves half a million subs. I have enjoyed going back and watching all of the older vids. Mr. Dutton is a treasure.
When I get old... cheeky chap 😆
I spat my beer when Ivan came out with that lol
@@samrodian919 we need more people like him!
I came here at the suggestion of Scott at Cold War Motors also. So glad I did. This is now my favorite channel. What a delightful character. I could listen all day.
See if you can find the videos when Ivan and John built a 2 cylinder mini engine.
Yes I again stumbled onto this channel. What a joy to listen to this gentleman and learn a bit..
What a wonderful old car that is. 60 mph, 100 years old, 4000 rpm. Ivan and John know their stuff. Perfectly profiled cam.👍🏻👍🏻😎
Yes scott at coldwar motors sent me good guy scott and the agents

He's stolen your cat co presenter idea, bet Mr Tweed will be getting one next..
@@russellnixon9981 I should have copywrited that..😁
". . . the sun is shining . . ." My mom used to say "if there's enough blue sky to make a pair of knickers, then it's a sunny day".
The only channel like it on TH-cam. Superb👏
Glad the Portuguese Salmson is nearly ready.
Pre-war cars are not really my thing but Ivan is so knowledgeable and so likeable, i'm hooked
The intro and music before Ivan spoke is a brilliant touch to the channel. Ivan getting used to being on the telly as well now . Seems er seemless. Well done all, brilliant channel
Kudos to whomever did the 'beginning animation'.It makes me smile and laugh.
I think the little cutie approved your purchase of the BMW.
Scott from Cold War Motors sent me, as well. Glad he did, this is a great channel. :)
That little JAP looked lost in there! I don’t know why, but I was expecting something much larger. Tanya knows to keep The Cat in frame, and vignettes of John toiling away to please us. A treat as always, thanks to you all.
Wow, what a transformation for the Portuguese Salmson. Smashing!
I also got the tip to watch this channel from Scott at Cold War Motors and I’m very glad he suggested it!
Cold War motors , awesome channel.
Good to see the cat featured again!
You would have a beer with this guy....and it would never get boring. Thanks again.
Scott is a good guy...been watching both of you for years...doing the same thing and completely different!
The Emeryson, my old car Ivan. I rebuilt it and hillclimbed it for several years and got it handling fairly predictable. Sold it to a gent in Avignon about 4 years ago. I'll text my phone no. Colin
This is just the most outstanding channel in every way. So fortunate to have found it. Thank you so much Ivan and the team.

I'm pleased you featured that gorgeous cat!
Love that Emeryson car. What fun it would be to drive something like that!
I used to watch these at Crystal Palace circuit with my dad years ago.
Super cool race car as well as Suzie's bmw! Your kitty cat has a nice place to hang out and you can tell he really likes your company. So glad Scott from Cold War Motors got the word out on your channel. Take care!

I ruddy love this channel.
As much for Ivan's energy and enthusiasm as the cars.
Good on Scott at Coldwar referring your channel. I think the two of you will get on famously. 👍
I need to follow your example and find a girlfriend who buys neat old cars. 😉
That's a great plan! I tried it but I'm the one who ended up buying the cars! . . .Cheers!

Best channel on TH-cam. Love the variety of cars, and the knowledge and experience that underpins in the content is exceptional.

Another Banger!! Just brilliant!! Glad to see you are back. Great finds with the Emerson and the Salmson....
Just watched while having my morning coffee, it's going to be a good day. Thanks, Ivan, Suzie and Tanya.

*Really like the Emeryson, anything single-seat and front-engined like that gets my vote, the old Beemer looks like a good 'un too*
A Beemer or Beamer is a motorcycle. A BMW car is a Bimmer as the folks in Bavaria would have it.
Wonderful post thank you❤️👍
Very nice video and I enjoy your insights into these vehicles. Good Luck to you all!

I've got a 500 J.A.P. out of a car. Maybe we could race up Horsenden Hill one day!
the panhard monomill is the ultimate front wheel drive racer
Hi from the Colony over the pond (the North one). I think you should replace the pick up in your opening animation with the green Prefect.
Don’t forget to subscribe !!!

Should put the fuel at the front.
cute cat!!!
Am I missing something? Where are the brakes?
Nice project car with chain drive and air-cooled too. Would not think a back up camera would be worthwhile though.
Is that Emeryson left or right drive.🇨🇦
LOVE IT .😅
Beaut 2002,had 2 in the 70s,must have been mad at the time to sell em!
Ta! 😎😎😎
Correction, Emeryson. One of a number of Formula 3 cars not built by Cooper.
what happened about the Ginetta?
Where are the smurfs?
Who was the son in Emeryson?
I can't to hear that J,A,P, engine start on Methanol and imagine the smell of Castrol R,
can you do miles as well
Amazing 👏
All that can be said is that you haven't yet found where the cat peed...
Love the 500 JAP.Great.
