the good ol' days. totally saw this tour! opened with heart's alive on this tour, the blood mountain tour is was like 2nd or 3rd to the last song. love these guys! been seeing them since 03, when they opened for clutch (and now they're coheadling with them). seen them so many times i really don't even know exactly how many. at least 13 i think! in my opinion, this song is the stairway to heaven of this time period! long live the 'don!
Crikey that hit me like a tidal wave!!! fkn AWESOME aye. Also thank you camera person for swinging right over to Brent and staying on him for the solo!
thanks for this video. ive been waiting for the full song to show up ever since someone posted just a clip of the solo a long time ago. it would be cool if you could put up aqua dementia or behemoth.
How is Brann this good wtf is wrong with him? God damn son. Brents vocals are killing me though. May as well just go to the mic and go REEE REEEE and it would sound just as good. Troy sounds okay though. Its a sloppy sound but I kinda like it.
Maurice Harfmann in the America’s i think they really only play stadiums or huge festivals anymore. But in Europe I bet they still play smaller places.
@@shillian4770 nah they don’t really play stadiums, they play well know good sized Venues but they don’t play stadiums unless they’re opening for someone huge. They play venues like red rocks in Colorado or mesa amphitheatre in Arizona or Hammerstein ballroom in NY, all fantastic venues but much bigger than small clubs and much smaller than stadiums.
this band changed my life. it sounds trivial but it did.
Brent Hinds is leviathan
So true
Oh friend anything but trivial these guys are fuckin mental
Why is he leviathan?
This song changed my life 🤘
This is the ONLY version I've seen where Brent solo's just like the album. I was blown away.
He's off by a bar on one section of solo, dosen't matter though, still sounds kickass, i only noticed it because I've listened to this song alot
Fuck dude, right after the solo is the gnarliest thing I’ve ever heard or seen. You can feel the energy coming off the screen.
This is by far the best live version of this on the Tube. Both in terms of recording quality, and their performance.
Man this song GOES
Masterpiece. easy as that. That ending solo into that riff is some of the tuffest shit ive ever heard
Ever! Wanted to run through my walls when Brent finished that solo!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Epic is just too tame of a word to describe the last three and a half minutes of this song. It gives me goosebumps every single time I hear it.
man i wish i couldve seen mastodon in the early days in a small little club like this

Crikey that hit me like a tidal wave!!! fkn AWESOME aye. Also thank you camera person for swinging right over to Brent and staying on him for the solo!

@iFukker you welcome! thanks for watching!
fucking epic thanx for the video
Sooo fucking EPIC🤘
Lol at the vocals man
I am here 3 years later to leave a reply and agree that Brent sounds like Rick and Morty fans not gettting schezuan sauce from mcdonalds. REEE REEEE.
Howeyroll No, just no.
I really don't know what else to relate it to. Maybe the shriek of a triggered ultra leftist feminist?
Brent had a throat infection for a while. That's why his vocals are so shot.
Listen to aqua dementia nowadays. He sounds awesome.
How is Brann this good wtf is wrong with him? God damn son. Brents vocals are killing me though. May as well just go to the mic and go REEE REEEE and it would sound just as good. Troy sounds okay though. Its a sloppy sound but I kinda like it.
Brann is a god
fuckin badass
@ibanez779 thanks for watching \m/
Goddamn! Who starts a solo like that...?😎
the band before this was my dads, if he dies he dies if I remember correctly atleast
Start 1:30
@turinwark They still play small clubs. They aren't big headed at all.
Jay Are Jwnz definitely true. Saw them in Vienna in one of our smaller (but way sweeter) venues
Maurice Harfmann in the America’s i think they really only play stadiums or huge festivals anymore. But in Europe I bet they still play smaller places.
