You know I am disappointed that both Acina and Malcom would use the super weapon to wipe out the other. Makes my decision feel a bit worthless since whoever I side with my enemy will be the monster no matter what.

@@ThePa1riot I can se a veteran of the last war who gets stern reminder of it every time he gets near reflective force wants to finish yet another large scale conflict that popped up during his lifetime as fast as possible.
You had a war with Sith Empire that ended with sacking of Coruscant. Then you have another war with them generation later that got barely put on hold because of the all Eternal Nonsense... yeah at this point I'm pretty sure he regrets not assigning more security to Revan's Genocide Droid factory.
Pubs are the good guys in the story, but there ain't no angels. And after all he has lived through, I bet the man is just tired.

But seriosly, those two factions have really bloody history and Alliance is wild card that just sided against them, that makes wiping the other pretty obvious and wiping you fairly logical. You either are the other side's lackey or a traitor.

What a waste to kill Accina or Malcolm. You could have placed Quinn or Elara in there place and it would be no different.
Luminosity Actually, now that you bring it up, that would've been the better idea by far.
considering you lose the companion you oppose, except Quinn, it really would have made more sense to kill them here.
But Elara is a way better character than Malcom, and it also doesn't fit their characters.

Some great voice acting there ;] especially the death scream! I'm curious what's going to happen next now that the story has branched significantly based on your choices with the deaths of Malcom/Acina. I hope they won't be made irrelevant in the upcoming story content (e.g. The dead one coming back to life or the living one dying asap or something like that)
I am guessing Malcom is going to be that Republic path story NPC who gives the character their missions now they have chosen to side with the Republic to fight the Empire due to their "Alliance" with the Republic to defeat the Empire thus making appearances each epiosde and vice versa with Acina as well if players choose Empire Side of this new Expansion storyline.
As I said in past comments it is a move mostly to keep certain NPCs to be relevent only on their Faction side so they don't have to deal with dialogue if the player choose the other path in this new expansion.

So the Republic loses its Supreme Commander or the Empire loses its Empress. I dunno I feel like the Empire gets shafted harder in this deal.

nope this is about the daily side quests on the planet. From here is back to the Republic versus Empire War and this time you have a choice which faction you side with no matter which faction your character started out as and who will finally win this war.
Is that all? Oh thank god then. I was worried the plot would start re-treading so hard

well lets see if we separate viatiate and valkorian throw malgus on to that list since he was a self proclaimed emperor (and quite frankly had the might to back it) vaylin, depending on your choice Arcann can be on that list, and now this...........6

Malgus (if we’re counting him)
Arcann
Vaylin
Vitiate/Valkorian (they count as one)
Acina
Her voice acting alone made her one of my favourite characters. Like honestly, why would you choose Malcom over Acina?
Acina is also just a hreat lider and ally I woud rather die than kill her
Beacuse Malcom was a bad ass WHO survived an encounter with malgus
Beeeecause he’s a badass war hero, beat Malgus hand to hand, got with Grandmaster Shan, and fights for the side that represents democracy? Acina is a foppish autocrat who isn’t even as menacing as the leader she replaced.
@@ThePa1riot No but she dominated Malgus, bent the Dark Council to her will, forced changes to the Empire, and manipulated her way to becoming Empress. I think that still counts for something.
I would pick Malcom every time, regardless of my original faction, because at least the side that he represents isn't betraying me and our alliance by simply being there. The Republic isn't "good" in this scenario, but they aren't stomping all over the trust that I placed in them.
Why is everyone calling you commander if you are THE EMPEROR. I dont get it.

As Darth Imperius I was enraged when I awoke from my carbon slumber by Lana to learn that Acena crowned herself Empress, as if she was a more powerful, more skilled Darth than me so she was already on my list to kill before the Alliance was even formed!

TheMajestic I really wanted to storm Dromund Kaas and challenge her 1 on 1 and kill her like I did Thanaton.
Shes not that powerful. so it shouldn't be hard the Sith Empire belongs to my sith inquisitor. i also sided with the republic to kill her.
Maybe they'll let the inquisitor become emperor in the final expansion

So is she alive or dead? They really jacked up the story by having her die in one story and be alive in another. In mine she's alive and kicking.
I heard she canonically died for next update. Not sure tho
Why would one even side against Acina to begin with? She offered to help with Vaylin especially since the offer was really sincere after Voss. The plot with this makes no sense.
Honestly, wouldn't it made more sense if either Elara or Quinn, depend on which faction you joined, is the one dying here instead?
Not only would it allow both Waifu Acina and Malcom to reappear later in the story as main antagonist you have to fight against in later expansion, but Elara and Quinn has the "My life for my country" mentality. Neither Acina and Malcom are the reckless type that would jump onto the superweapon in desperation (well, maybe Malcom, but definitely not Acina), but I could see both Quinn and Elara do it.
Hell, you're going to loss them anyway, why not blow them up here?

I'm kind of upset that Acina had to do die. To be honest, I hate the Republic and would rather one of them die, but I had to kill Quinn. His death was worth it. As far as romance goes, I just need Jaesa back.
You can kill Quinn even if you go Empire though..

My main BH def went with her and the empire. But honestly I pretty much disliked everything about the whole Iokath story and setting. Also never got around to even trying the op that took them forever to finish so no idea if that added anything to it.

While playing my light side Inquisitor I accidently did the Republic cause I fucking dropped food on my keyboard. Now I'm stuck with fucking Vowran. I like his character but Acina was just a better Emperor from what I've seen

It's a shame that your preferred choice of companion effects your choice for siding with either the Sith or the Republic. Had it not been the case I would of chose the Sith Empire all of the time simply because I think Acina is awesome.
Sorry.. But I have to... "Would of" is not english. "Would HAVE" is the only way to write it (or would've... sure). "Would of chose" is not english. "Would HAVE CHOSEN" is the only way to write it (or would've, again..). There are so many people typing "would of" that I had to finally say something. "Would of chose" was the final straw xD. So there.. The world is completely different because i commented on TH-cam. ...And probably made some spelling errors myself.. But NEVER "would of". This abomination of english that SO FUCKING MANY PEOPLE seem to use.
Would eye of done things differently, would it of really mattered? Would of, should of, could of. These things we'll never know. The things I wished I would of done differently. Or would eye?
