What a wonderful visit to a BEAUTIFUL church just chock full of superb artifacts - obviously well-loved and cared for. The ladies should be proud indeed to take care of such a place. Thanks - Excellent!!
Yes. I agree. A wonderful place, energised by wonderful ladies. I hope the video encourages more people to visit it, to enjoy the artefacts and atmosphere. 🙏
Thank you for showing us this beautiful Church and garden. 🌳. The lovely stain glass windows letting the light through of the Saints. 😇. The bows on seats were most likely put there for a Wedding. 👰♀️ 🤵Thank you very much, Wendy. 👏 🙏💐😊.
I’m not entirely certain, but from Google (!) it says ‘Earliest part the chancel consecrated in 1315. Perpendicular tower and nave; the tower, which is crenellated, was refaced in 1895 at the time of the extensive restoration by Sir Giles Scott. Chantry rebuilt early C16. C18 vestry. Memorial cloister 1887. Whittall chapel 1922, by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. Good C15 monuments include the Beauchamp and Cokesey tombs and various brasses.’
