Having been a Hudson club member for over 40 years, I agree it's gorgeous, but search out Studebaker trucks from 1937-1939. They already looked chopped from the factory.
@kevinrussell5099 well, hello from a future HET club member. My current 49 Commodore as I'm sure you are well aware has that chopped looked about it. I know it sounds crazy, but I grab a chair and sit between my 49 Commodore, straight 8 and my 57 Studebaker Champion 160 Flathead 6. I do have both on my TH-cam page. I welcome you to have a look, and thank you, I'd like very much to check out the Studebaker pick up
@@styldsteel1, we have something in common in regards to cars. My first Hudson was a 49 Commodore coupe and my current car is a 56 Champion 2 door station wagon.
Loved the conversation with Dennis and the owner of the Road Runner, and what a nice guy the Clipper owner is, a great episode all around, call me crazy but I like the Spirit best
Very cool seeing this video, my Red SRT-4 was spotted 39 seconds into video, me and my son saw Dennis filming that day, Bellfonte is an awesome car event.
What a great collection of classics. Just beautiful automobiles. Great video Dennis as usual. It is sad that you are retiring(so I've heard) ,it won't be the same without seeing you and your show of great car shows and such Gonna miss you for sure . Thanks for sharing the great videos and shows. From one of your biggest fans from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦.
Wow, ce rassemblement est vraiment hypnotisant. merci pour le partage, c'est apprécié. la coutume dit que je laisse un like, alors je m'y plie sans réserve, et même avec plaisir. 😀
Dennis I saw you on a YT page called "Classic Car Living" at a car show KUMC. I also met you there that day and you were so gracious. I hope you come back next year.
Beautiful 1956 Clipper. I have one, bought it in 2000. Same Super sedan, except in Adriatic (dark) blue and Dover white. I have every piece of original paperwork on it, including the bill of sale. Original owner bought it on 10/30/1956 and traded in his 1953 Kaiser Golden Dragon on it. Definitely a car you rarely if ever see anymore. At most shows you'd be the only Packard there!
I was surprised that Dennis didn't seem to know that Hudson had built trucks since the late 1920's starting with the Dover and continuing until 1947. Even the owner didn't know that. Strange!
We are still making new shows and we are still on TV. BTW this is our 28th year and the 29th season will premiere in January on Motor Trend and MAVTV. Thanks for watching!
In 1972, still in high-school, I owned a 1968 Plymouth Road Runner. 383 with dual quads and a 4 speed stick tranny with a posi rear axle. Wish I still had the car. 😢
Love the volare Road Runner. My mom had a 77ish Dodge Aspen when I was a kid. I loved that car. I'd love to find another one. It was baby blue with t-tops, white vinyl interior, bucket seats and a console shift automatic. Don't know if it was a 318 or 360, but I know it had a V8. It's not a normal dream car. But it's my dream car.
Back in 1983, I graduated from high school and had been cruising Altoona Pennsylvania downtown area since I was 15. Then, we under 21 kids were told you can't do this, and they did the same thing to us as Belefonte. I joined the military at 19, but the rest had to find somewhere else to hang out. I believe the reason we have the drug problem today is that the under 21 crowd doesn't have anywhere to go. I guess times were easier back in my teens.
I remember a Volare Roadrunner in my town in the early 2000's. It was in rough shape though. Thought it was an odd car. Especially after seeing the Roadrunner badging.
Denis, the tail light insignia on the Road Runner was the long standing Plymouth logo going back to at least the mid ‘60s. It’s a sailing ship in reference to Plymouth as in the Mayflower.
This is not recently recorded..right? Because it got the vibe of America 25 years ago or something.( I dont know,really..i live in the Netherlands. But i love oldskool American motoring...greatest cars on the planet,😁🥳)
79 Road Runner , ''lot of design touches from other cars'' Yeah...my '79 Tercel had the same lower stripe graphic sticker...standard ,except it was black.
It is criminal to chop antique cars' tops and to lower them - outrageous hack job on the Hudson. I am so sick of great cars being ruined by people who think they know better how to style a product than the original designers. Otherwise the truck is nice but I was sick with that destroyed roof. The interior is nice but it is awful that the leather looks like cheap vinyl in its coloration.
It was a fad with guys of a certain age group to do this with all 40s and early 50s cars. Chop the roof, modern interior and a crate Chevy engine with a Mustang rear end. I agree with you, it would've looked a lot better if it was original. I get why guys used to do this but this thing would've been way cooler if it was stock. Not everything needs to be a hot rod.
Hands down. The Hudson pickup is the nicest pick em up truck ever made

The Hudson pickup truck is gorgeous. What a cool truck. Thanks Dennis.
awesome car show thank you for the show
Isn't that a nineteen fifty eight desoto fire flight down the street, I think it's a convertible right?
I'm in love with that Clappard Picker
HI again My Classic Car Dennis 🤩 hey thanks for sharing another great video of some Amazing Awesome Beautiful Classic Ride's 😁🤔💖

Nice auto show Pennsylvania Hector Bethlehem 👍👍👌
Clippers are pretty cool, I always loved the nautical theme down to the ships wheel in the grille. Nice car!
Enjoyed!!!!! 👍👍

Never knew Hudson made a truck. I'd love to see one all stock. Customs are cool. But rare vehicles should be left stock in my opinion

Super sweet Grand Torino.
AMC made cool cars. That Spirit is great. It's a shame there aren't many left
How this show, of ALL car shows, is not still making new episodes and airing on tv I’ll never know! It’s in a class of its own for sure.

I dig the Torino!
Паккард Клипер 1956г очень красивый!
Hey Dennis and crew ✌🏼
Saw an 80 Roadrunner for sale locally recently. Needed work but rare find.
Please do a show on The 1976 Dodge Aspen R/T Hell of an Automobile. Please, Please, Please!!!
It's a really charming town and very close to Penn State - only about 10 minutes away.

I may bring my old 72 Chevy truck at that car show
I live in northeast pa and I'll def being going to check it out
One of my goals in life is to have Dennis Gage take my cars for a cruise
Wow! That’s one of my goals too! 😀
@MyClassicCarTV let's make it happen 😃 next time your in southern Ontario
Deal! 👍
🤩👍
😎
👍👏
I the mid 70s and mid 80s I had a 69' Ply 383 Road Runner. I always dreamed of pulling the 383 out and installing a slant 6.🤔
Those leaning towers of power with a couple a turbo's on them can put out some pretty good tork....
✌️👍🙂
Nice!!!

Hot Wheels 🎉
Corvette & Hudson 🎉
Plymouth Volare Roadrunner, 225 super 6...talk about defining the Malaise era...(spell check originally changed era to error, almost left it)
Joe Biden was a professor at Penn State. In-between Obama and his presidency. It is a small world. The cars are nice.
15:17 Not your problem lol
19:28 ''Crazy era'' ? no : just a 'Malaise Era' with all that piping mess under the hood.
Now poppycock. they did not make a road runner with a slant six.. was not an option..Somthing fishy their,,
