@@minhng5127 Not very. Could have been somewhat realistic if the planet halves were blown apart from each other, but if it was simply cut slowly like shown here, it'd be more realistic if the halves just smacked, together patching up the cut but with massive earthquakes and multiple cracks throughout the planet, with there also being lava bursting out of it. The planet would ultimately turn into globe of molten rock by the end of it, although it realistically would be a kinda slow process.
Physically, it doesn't make sense. Because of gravity, the two half of planet will not be torn apart. They will merge again instead, because of gravity.
This was Ideon's warning to everyone. Pretty much Ideon was telling everyone that it was running out of patience.
To bad no one got the memo in the end.

before countless mecha deconstructions appeared after Evangelion, Ideon showed us just how scary and powerful a giant mecha can truly be.
Um… Tomino’s work directly prior to this basically deconstructed the entire Mecha genre, and in doing so created the Real Robots subgenre.

Ideon, the Eldritch Lovecraftian Super Robot
The ultimate marriage of Lovecraft and mecha is already Demonbane
The scariest part about this is that the Ideon did this on its own. It....made a choice.
The Ideon can be a dangerous mecha.
Nothing like lo-fi disco beats to cut the tension
Sugiyama never missed.
Palpatine and Wilhuff Tarkin realize just how tiny their "Death Stars" are.
“The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Ide.”
That was the point where everyone should have taken a step back and asked themselves, “Is it really worth it?”
To buff clan, it is.
Too late for that.
Damn the Turn A. Ideon is a cosmic horror.
The Ideon can be a dangerous anime mech.
What makes this far more nuts is that Ide was still in mercy mode. If this is the Biblical Genesis Flood, Be Invoked is the Book of Revelation.
And Ideon did this.
Not Cosmo or anyone piloting it.
*Ideon.*
We all know what It's power is capable of.

The core literally getting sliced into half so the gravity pretty much also dead.

Ideon was using DBZ’s most popular explosion effects a decade before it came along.
