Refill your Canon LBP 2900 cartridge easily without completely disassembling it.
Canon LBP 2900 is a great home/office printer. The only downfall is when we have to refill it. Unlike other easy refill cartridge it needs to be disassembled. In this tutorial we show you how to do it without completely disassembling it (minimal dissembling).
Step 1: Unscrew all the nails.
Step 2: Take off a spring with niddle.
Step 3: Take off the OPC drum.
Step 4: Take off the Magnetic Roller.
Step 5: Take off all the dust (toner).
Step 6: Fill the cartridge with new dust.
Step 7: Assemble the parts.

Yes this cartridge is quite hard to refill. If you are new to refilling cartridge which doesn't have easy cap, please take it to your nearest technician.
Or if you like to DIY stuff you can always mess up few times.😊

Good demonstration as compared to other but all the people complaining about too fast speed and stuff you need to have at least a little bit printer toner knowledge to pull this off a beginner won't be able to do it and I wont recommend doing it either.

long to short: on the side with the spring (when you stand in front of the printer on the left side) gently remove the cap, maybe also remove the spring. then fill it up. still don't know why it has to be so complicated.

What if we forget to put long spring
is it better to refill or change the catridge? please suggest
Refilling is 5 to 7 times economical. If you want high quality change the cartridge. But there is not much difference if it is done right way. You can try both and decide for yourself.

2 to 3 dollars for dust only. Here at Kathmandu.
5 to 7 dollars if we ask shop to do the refill as well.

Incorrect way of filling the toner in the cartridge!! The toner must be filled from the toner refill hole which is provided below the cap at the side of the cartridge where there is only one visible screw. You'll just waste your cartridge if you follow the instruction given in this video.

We generally use any compatible dust we get the cheapest from local wholesalers. But make sure the vendor has tried the dust in canon printer. Some dust are not compatible.
You can use canon genuine dust if you feel so.

I think you guys shouldn't follow this guide. Because this is not the right way to refill 2900. You should carefully separate parts and cleaning before you fill the ink into correct position

WRONG METHOD.. INCORRECT Way of doing it.. My Canon LBP 2900 printer & cartridge got ruined because of this..

It's actually a lazy method. Not disassembling the cartridge completely. We do this all the time. And we don't have any issue. You just need to marter the process 😀. Cheers.

I have the same cartridge. I always refill it myself. This is the worst and dirty method I have ever seen.
