Thank you! I have tried two different times submerging my sleeping pad under water in my bath tub and was not able to find the leak. I was about to give up when I saw your video and low and behold the light trick worked!
Great info. I just bought a roll and ther glue. Maybe you could put a kleenex tissue on your mat and when you sit on it the air might move to Kleenex so you can find the hole. Now I wonder what to do for a seam leak. TH-cam is great for information cheers from Canada.
Huh ive had this double sleeping pad with an unknown hole sitting in my living room for a year. Havent found the leak. May have to try the light one. I also heard something about putting water on it. Good stuff!
I've heard you can wipe the sleeping pad with soapy water using a sponge and then look for bubbles, which would indicate an air leak, but I've never done that because it's not possible in the backcountry haha Also, it sounds like a bit of a mess! Thanks for commenting Matt! I hope you find that sleeping pad leak!
Nice tips, I had to do this TWO times this year and the holes were so small, the only way to find them was to put the mat inside water. Finding the leak was definitely the most difficult part, it took me at least 1 hour.
i have read that the clear and different colors tape are all different.. some of them have fabric and some have nylon and some use ripstop nylon, etc. Can you clarify which type you recommend for an outdoor air filled sleeping pad?
Hello, is this a permanent repair? I can't believe how easy it is. I'd never heard of this tape before but I've just ordered myself a roll. Thanks from Scotland.
i saw on another video.. the person suggested the tape alone is more of a temporary fix.. although it can last a long time.. but to make permanent fix.. he coated the patch and around the seams of the patch with air curring AquaSeal. And then after that has fully dried and cured.. it is a permanant repair.
outstanding, but you did forget one step after finding the hole "mark it" it will be easier to find again
sometimes you'll lose it if its really small

You are welcome. Keep those videos coming, please. Blessings
Thanks for watching!! 💕 Hopefully you don't have to deal with a leaking sleeping pad in the backcountry, but if you do - you'll be prepared! 👊

I know! It can be difficult sometimes, especially in the backcountry! Glad you finally found it!

My neoair pad has a 4 inch cut on it, would it work on that or should I use a seal first?
