This 33-35 Auburn Boat tail Speedster and the 30's Delahaye Boat tail Speedster are my best dream cars. I have so much passion for these. Epinome of car design.
Very cool! I sold a barn fresh 35-36 supercharged engine to one of these cars some years ago. I still have the supercharged emblem. Love those Auburns!
Mike in the story parts of show he also a writer most all old things has a story behind them frank more of riding shotgun guy there both a team make the show
My buddy has an Auburn. My dad always loved them so for his 70th birthday I had my bud take my pops out for a long ride. I finally got my dad to say I love you... not to me, to my friend with the car. No love.
I would like to see a show that shows the things sold by them, follow the purchase to the sale, what happens to a lot of this stuff just disappears after they buy it, and the story along with it.
I agree with you. Have watched the show for a long time and sometimes they show stuff they sell, but there is so much stuff they buy I would love to see who they sell to etc.
Little carried away with the price of it. I could bought one in mint one for 350k and it had a radio. The dies and body stamps are in WELLINGTON. Ks at the Cord/ Auburn dealer. These people get them in from all over the world. The owner is getting way up there in the years.
Makes a change from the usual american muscle cars everyone seems to restore, gets a bit repetative after a while. That's why l like Restoration Garage or even Wheeler Dealers,at least there is some variety in the vehicles they work on.
@Mick W: I'm American and you lost me at Qld. The only things we know about your continent are Sydney, kangaroos, wallabies (only if we've seen "Rocko's Modern Life"), venomous spiders, insects and arachnids the size of dinner plates, desert, beer, boomerangs, and Crocodile Dundee.
My hats off to the preproduction people that scour the countryside who the "find" stuff and setup deals before Mike and Frank show up on camera to make a "big discovery" !!!
Stop with these fake titles. He delivers a part, $3k to an eventual build of a valuable car. Big difference. It’s also $750k vehicle not $1 million. Shame on you.
How can he put a price of 3000 on a part that he doesn't have and there are a very limited number of left in the world? I know, it's just a show. But Supply and Demand baby
Many of my older friends are into antiques absolutely hate AP and see it as profiteering and amateurish. Yet I see it as educating the next generation for now many youth do not really have an interest in this genera nor understand the importance. The antiques business must keep going forward or the information is lost or the meaning of items. Wish AP would have started much earlier than 2010.
Ya mike we had friends that came to your shop in Iowa. And you gys did not what to seil them anything what's up with that .thay told ther friends never to go to your shop .ps bad for bisnes
Only a complete clown would pay $1.5million for that car lol Americans over value things you can buy 4 ferrari cars for that that will be worth alot more 😆
Catch new episodes of American Pickers when the series returns Mon Oct 21 at 9/8c
Ok.....time came and went. Where are the new epidodes?
Mike gets $3000 for car part. Typical stuff History can't get their history correct

That's a car. Not just a ride but art on wheels. Gorgeous.
The Auburn, Cord, Duesenburg Museum is in Auburn, Indiana.
I recommend the visit.
Beautiful classics
Couldn’t agree more, those cars were works of art.
Went when I was 15yrs old and rode there in a 1929 model A Ford it was AWESOME
Mike and Frank, love this show.
Very cool! I sold a barn fresh 35-36 supercharged engine to one of these cars some years ago. I still have the supercharged emblem. Love those Auburns!

Mike really is passionate about the stuff they find Frank more about the money that's the vibes I get from them
That’s a good thing.
Mike in the story parts of show he also a writer most all old things has a story behind them frank more of riding shotgun guy there both a team make the show
Those cars are beautiful, works of art
When you are living your dream, that's success in life, rich or not - not matter that much.
I hope his kids continue their family legacy
Auburn and the delahaye are my dream cars.

I can imagine how much he needs that one part to finish his dream project. .

Rest In Peace Frank Fritz
Always interested in guys who make new gold from old gold.
It's wild to think new parts lasted 80 years
Since starting to watch AP Mikes hair colour changed a lot I’m at the moment looking at old episodes series 5 hair quite darker.😄😄😄
Yeah it’s called aging and the linear passage of time. Are you new to this planet or something?
Would've loved to see the finished product
Have to give it to them ! Slick ! Both of them love the b.s.
I love car guys like this!
Beautiful!
My buddy has an Auburn. My dad always loved them so for his 70th birthday I had my bud take my pops out for a long ride. I finally got my dad to say I love you... not to me, to my friend with the car. No love.

The best, a peace of history!
He needs to cast new rear ends from that one for his new cars.
He needed an original one for that car.

We're talking an all authentic 1935 Speedster? Not upgraded or replica.
So did this guy ever finish one ?
Id love to see a retconed Auburn! Stuff a Tesla motor and batteries in one?
I think the rear end was worth more money...
Have the guys ever thought of coming to Australia (they've already been to Italy and England)?
If they did they would only go to Sydney or Qld that's the only place Americans know about
@@mickden3155 It would be a start though.
True

@@r0bw00d You forgot Steve Erwin, miss that guy, his passion for wildlife will never be matched.
Actually the part is going on a $750k car !
Luckily they bought it from Mike and not Frank! Frank would have tried to grease him for 8K

Easy it's called being fair.
what's "extentamine" please ?
3000.00
How do you price that 3rd gen car with there is nothing to compare it to? I know he said 750k. How do you come up with that number?
Replacement parts cost and some profit.
I remember when the History channel was about history not some scripted, rehearsed, choreographed and staged so called "reality program".
When was that reality shows have always been scripted

I’m asking fifty trillion dollars but am willing to negotiate.
Is Doug in Auburn Indiana?
Mike and frank are junk collectors not "car guys"
this car was stolen from Michigan in the 60's and sold in California for cash money with no title
I dont like frank, hes not a people person, he only makes jokes when hes trying to swindle someone
Hes a meme that keeps on giving
Only a complete clown would pay

I simply can't stand either one of these guys. They act as though they know everything.
