Synopsis
A story of two orphans on the run from a ruthless criminal trying to make a new life in Istanbul, from the producer of international hit series Elif. Wounded Birds revolves around a brother and sister torn between two worlds: the mean streets of their birth and the luxurious villa of the Metehanoglu family. Meryem is a strong, beautiful young woman who has spent the past five years raising her “little brother” Ömer. She was barely a teenager when someone gave baby Ömer to her low-life father, Durmus. He intended to sell the infant, but Durmus was hauled off to prison before he could complete the sale. Meryem is determined to keep Ömer off the streets, and she’s worked night and day to make a good, decent life for them both. Little does she know that the young boy is the son of an influential industrialist and was kidnapped in a power struggle over control of the family empire. The link back to the world of his biological father brings Ömer and Meryem's adventure to a start, as they are unexpectedly reunited with Levent, a man who thought he would never see his son again. Wounded Birds premiered on Kanal D in Turkey in April 2019 and is set for 100 episodes daily run.

Most adorable is the child who plays Omer. He's a natural born actor. Tekin is an amusing villain, and Durmus has shades of Fagin in Oliver Twist. BUT the serial drags on a bit, too much talking, and the search for Omer doesn't seem realistic. Some scenes are unnecessary. But all in all , a fairly good entertainer.

Meryren is not stubborn but real stupid selling his brother, if she just left him in the mansion till she find a place to live. Niw he owe the rich people money from hospital bill and the money. Then she is in trouble with the bad man which she deserves to be jail and punish
That's how movies and stories begin, they start with a good life and then a problem but then the problem gets complicated and then at the end something good happens again 😕
If she can’t do or get money from the old woman how she can get Omer from the hand of Tekin it doesn’t matter as long as she didn’t used the money for her own interest. Am i right?

Yeah! she is stupid! She does not work, does not have money. She definitely should not sell her "brother". The rich family paid the hospital bill. I would move out from this kind of father and would find for myself first just a room to live in and I would work in a normal place.
She is not selling her brother but it was in the custody of Tiken,he required Maryem to pay for 100thousand leras for the freedom of Omer but 20K was taken by durmus to go to gambling den and lost, what is wrong there is she did not tell Ulyive the real situations,because shes affraid that Omer will be sold by Ticken. To keep him safe in the mansion is her purpose at what Ayse adviced her. She cannot protect him now that her fatheris out of prison and is around.
It seems that this criminal baggage has no more income just what this little boy stole, a box in which he said: "Is something shiny" 😂
If maryem open the box she will see the piece of sockthat same of what she kept in her drawer. But it is what is been written😢😢😢🇵🇭🇵🇭

I have no idea why I'm watching this series, I guess for the little kid Omer he is the only good actor in the series. The writing is elementary. Meryen is beyond stupid, why doesn't she tell Levent about the bad guy using the children to commit criminal acts, the children need to be protected, is she trying to protect her loser father? Why!?! If she doesn't go to the police and report what's going on she is as bad as the criminals, and they all need to be punished! The writing makes No Sense! At least they should have put artificial tears in Meryens eyes to make it look like she's crying the fake crying is just irritating

Of course she should have explained everything to him calmly like an adult. Both people were proud, stubborn and angry idiots. But that is what drives the story. In a way the script is showing the stupidity of ego and pride.

Just go on watching and seeing it because its a nice story, she cannot go to the police because she has no proof that Omer is his brother ,it was only handed to her from his father since the abductor give it to Durmus and ran away,because he killed the wife of Levent. She can be accused of kidnapping if the police find out the real story of baby Omer,she even quitted schooling to care for Omer.❤❤❤❤

I think his biological mother is Levent's late wife ,who was pushed and killed by those people who stole Omer
She got killed when they stole the little boy from her and sold him to this stupid girl father and his family
