- I've had the Z5000 for ages, and it makes it into my rack more often than not, so it's about time to find out why. In today's video I explore some of the delay algorithms in bank 2 and make some crunchy beats! Please stay tuned for next weeks exploration of the pitch/modulation bank.

Woooooah! I’ve been so shocked to learn ‘what else this module can do’ in just about every video. You kinda blew my mind on this one with the z5000 into beads and playing beads with the keystep. Sooo excited, drove into the city and got my beads module yesterday, the rest come in about a week in snail mail. Funny how you’ve convinced me to go ‘fx rack’ on my build, and then you show me how I can still get it to still be a synth😂 just way too cool.

@@TheUnperson it’s a slow process to learn and the results are super varied, but so far I’m quite thrilled. It’s added a depth that I could have never achieved without it, and that’s EXACTLY the sort of thing I was after😊

Love your patches, and videos… only complaint is i think you have too many other effect modules here to really get a sense of the z5000 itself… but it was a nice watch anyway

How would you say the delay algorithms on the Z5000 (or ECHOZ if you have it) compare to the FX Aid delays? I have a ZVERB that I use as send/return reverb in almost every patch but I have no delay in my rack at all (other than looping delay mode in monsoon). I know the FX AID is more versatile, but since I already have a reverb I like, I'd primarily be using it for delays, so I'm feeling inclined just to get a dedicated delay like ECHOZ. Any other recommendations I should look at?

Very nice tone and feel in this song (the first demo)! Is the module capable of multi fx at the same time like reverb + delay or is it one at a time?

sounds great! how do you connect the op-1 to your modules? Is that using CV? I saw in another of your videos you used a splitter, but not here, why is that? thank you!
Thanks! The OP1 is going directly into the Pico Input module. This brings the op1 volume up to modular level, but it’s not absolutely essential. :)
Awesome. I just got the 0-coast as my first analogue synth and I’m having a hard time controlling it with the OP-1. Do you know if it’s even possible with the way you’re doing it? Are you using CV?
I’m not too familiar with the 0-coast but the OP1 doesn’t have any CV outputs. It only has midi over usb. I never use the op1 to control my modular stuff, I just process the audio :)
