What kind of material are these slabs? These seem to break pretty easily. Not that breaking them is an impossible thing (if you search TH-cam I'm willing to bet you will find much better breaks with much better material) but the material and thickness of the brick/slab play a huge factor. When people do these breaks with these flimsy type slabs it devalues the actual purpose for conditioning your hands, which is to increase damaging power and reduce the amount of injury your hands take with strikes. Which devalues the art overall and leaves it open to unnecessary criticism and skepticism...you end up with McDojos and crappy schools teaching bad technique and bad lesson to people, making them think that because they can break these suspect slabs/bricks, that they can fight.
And I'm pretty sure he used spacers too...

why are we impressed with breaking bricks , they're obviously very fragile things good at compression force but bad at tension force

+Nightspyz1 This has more to do with conditioning and stamina. The bricks are extremely brittle, but without conditioning (skin and bone density), you wouldn't be able to handle much of that if any at all.

+Nightspyz1 And I hope, his house is not made of these "bricks"...

It's an endurance test, not just a strength one. Your average bodybuilder couldn't break 30 of these.
