What a beautiful drive....
I grew up in Haiku Valley, the valley in Kaneohe that H-3 goes right through.
Even though H-3 has been open for about 25 years, it still hurts my heart to see that highway and the tunnels on the side of those mountains.
To me, the Koolau mountains on Windward O'ahu are the most beautiful mountains on earth, and whenever I return to O'ahu and see them, I always feel like I'm home again. ♥
