Wish I would have known you were out there I would have stopped out. Most of gold is 8 to 12 inches down . The spot you are digging at the end of video is the spot I found some of my bigger pieces in Wisconsin.
Awesome! I did post the invitation for my Minnesota episode for the $10 and up people as always, didn't do invites to the Wisconsin episode though, it was a planned meeting with FGW
I’ve been subscribed to flour gold wizards channel for a while. It always surprises me how much gold Jason and Rigby find up there in Wisconsin. With gold like that it is most likely in the first 12 inches of the top layer and will not go much deeper. You need more flow in your sluice. Ya, good starting point would be for every 12 inches of sluice 1 inch of drop. The flow should be swift but no so swift it shoots clumps out of the sluice before it breaks up. You would be surprised the gold will not leave the sluice. Happy gold hunting.
I love your channel. I think you had 1500 subscribers when I started watching your videos. It's so awesome to see you approaching 200,000 subscribers. Inspired by you I started making videos about a year ago. I'm up to 646 subscribers. It's alot of fun! I've made friend's with other fishing channels along the way. The DNR filled the entrance in about 20 years ago. There is a legend of an Indian trading with the early settlers and he carried a small pouch of gold with which he paid them. It's too long to go into here but that legend holds a lot of credence because my great great something or other encountered him. Wish I would have paid more attention to my dad and grandpa when I was a kid. Anyway, Rush River is too far from Plum Creek to have been influenced by the Rock Elm Disturbance so one can assume it's glacial drift. But, both creeks have stories of people years ago finding small pickers and not just flour gold. One of the stories came from what now is Nugget Lake. All covered up now though. I heard from an eye witness the old timer had a half of a Rolaids jar of gold. I have a few more true stories too but too long to type out. Hope you found this helpful. P.S. You probably know this but there have been diamonds found in Plum Creek as well. Not gem quality though.

I really really like that you explained where the gold came from.

Thank you for all that you do cleaning up being positive and patient
Yep i'm still in the process of doing my 50 states series. I have about 27 states done, so officially past the halfway point!
I’m working so I’ll have to watch the rest later.
So I’ve found that (as a person that lives in two states and go between the two) that in Nashville you have to get a permit no matter what to pan. But in GA, if I wanna go over to Dahlonega (the gold capital) and pan that it’s says you can freely pan without a permit. Interesting. The more you know. I’m not far from dahlonega so I might have to try this someday when I’m back at my mom’s
House.

Hey I’m from Wisconsin, I’m from Green Bay, do you know anywhere else I can go pan at? Or how to find a panning place
I know there's gold throughout the state of Wisconsin due to Glacial Till. Very fine gold everywhere, higher concentrations of gold are in areas of the river where the gold drops out due to fluid dynamics. Check out Flour Gold Wizards channel , he's full of Wisconsin gold knowledge and will answer any comments you leave on his videos too!

what is the carat content of the raw Wisconsin gold? 18K? 20K?
Not big enough to test, but if it's like most glacial till, it's somewhere around 18-20k
if you ever come to Indiana for gold it's all up north and glacial till gold.
Check my "Indiana" episode of my 50 state series. Lots of nice gold in southern Indiana as well! Thanks for watching and the suggestion!
