This is the best video of all the 200 plus. The sights, the music and the manner in which you both present yourselves is truly relaxing. I mean it when I say "I wish I was there". This is my second comment tonight so I'll close and let you enjoy the day. Later.
Thanks Tom! We really appreciate the kind comments! We're glad we were able to share the day well enough that you enjoy it! It's always hard to completely capture the feelings and experience but we try our best every time!
Im sure no-one has told you that you look exactly like your mom, Elliot. So let me be the first. This was a fun video. I love it when the stars align and all the fun happens. The boat hitting you was the universe pinching you so you know its real 😉
I was stationed at Parris Island (Beaufort SC) and with just a 15 min ride to Lady's Island, I had fresh shrimp right off the boat. You were correct on the shrimp boat return time. Any time after 2 pm and you could get all the fresh shrimp you wanted. I miss the South. Different way of life as you know. Stay safe.
You Guys are Great. You've done so many Cool things since you restarted your Loop, and your only 10% through. I'm no Priest, so I can't Bless Your Boat ... But I am Catholic, and I keep you kids in my Prayers for Safe Travels ‼️🙂🙂🙂
We kept our 36’ Cruiser on Lake Erie close to Sandusky, OH. Every year the local Catholic Church, had “The Blessing of the Boars”. I know I always looked forward to it… Safe Travels! John M. Kelly
So a little info on the equipment on the boats. Those that looked like they had big air condition units on to are actually cooling salt water below normal freezing temperatures. Run the shrimp through the brine flash freezes them to maintain peak freshness
Your episodes are so well done. Especially this one..so peaceful and calm. Excellent! Oh one question I've been meaning to ask..has Ollie ever gone over the side??
Such a fun video…watching the fleet to go one by one to the bridge for their blessing was amazing. Thanks for sharing. It looked like you all had a great time!
@@SchoandJo I've been watching a while , usually don't have time to comment . I would love to do the great loop. But I don't want to demast for the Nothern low bridges . Hope to sail to Wisconsin some day
Hi! That was so cool!! I am curious, and you probably already explained it, but why did you wear the scarf masks when you were cruising.. thx again for all you hard work:)
Hi Jamie! Thanks for watching! Those scarfs basically protected us from the no-seeums (tiny mosquitos). There are other options like spray, or thermacell, but sometimes we just covered up since that worked well and was easy 😁
We use anywhere between 1.5 gal / hr and 2.5 gal / hr and our last fill up was 4.35 a gallon for diesel. It changes very frequently so I couldn’t say an average 😁
Your Lehman seems to be idling too high. You want to check it out with a photo tach... should be idling at +-600 RPM. 1000 RPM is too harsh for your tranny.
Thanks for the advice I’ll look in to this! Do you know how hard it is to adjust the idling? We idle at about 800 so still a bit higher than the recommended still
@@SchoandJo Have your mate move the throttle lever while you watch the linkage on the engine. When the throttle lever is pulled back to the idle position the engine linkage should rest against an adjustable stop screw. That screw should be your idle speed adjustment.

If you said “blessing of the fleet” one more time, I was going to cry. Basically I enjoy your channel. Take care
😁
Evening/Sunset cruise on a calm night... That is as close as it gets to heaven on earth
Absolutely agree! Just magical!
We are so excited for the 56th Blessing coming up in just a couple of weeks!
oh, thats going to be awesome! Hope you have a great trip 😁
I love the way Ollie stands watch.
She's just living life to the fullest!
Such a beautiful evening. Lovely your mom could be with you for a while.
Thanks so much Steve! Hanging out with Mom definitely made this weekend very special!

Thanks for watching!
Great video, my husband is on stage today with Touch of gray! Bass player Bill Spinks❤
Super cool, hope it goes well!! 🤘🎸
Awesome video .shrimp boats don't go out and back each day they go out for 3 weeks or more at a time. Don't come home until freezers are full.
Neat! Super interesting 🤙
awesome to watch the blessing of the fleet, well done guys.
Thanks John!
Spectacular!
Wow! That was a fun day! I enjoyed the cruising when you left Darien with the sunset and all.
That twilight cruise was one of our favorite so far!!

Local marina here in St. Clair Shores, MI has a blessing of the fleet also in the spring.
Super cool!
That would be cool to watch
It was a lot of fun! Totally recommend it 😁
Enjoy your adventures..Lotta shrimps is at night..put nets down late evening..drag till after daylight..long day or night..hard way too make it now..!
Oh wow, interesting! It’s impressive the work and dedication required 🦐🦐🦐

Loving the journey

Thanks so much Larry! Ollie has never gone overboard on Pivot but she has fallen off of Fred a couple of times… it’s why her life jacket is required!

Most coastal towns w/shrimp boats have a Fleet Blessing this time of year. Charleston, SC, Mobile AL. Are 2 that I know of.
Cool, thanks Virginia!
At one time I owned two of those shimp boats ran one and had a crew to run the other .in the West coast of flordia
Wow! I bet that was an incredible experience!
Always wanted to go to one of those. I hear that the one in Tarpon Springs is spectacular. Thanks. D.
We are looking forward to visiting Tarpon Springs in general! 🤙 Darien's not too far away for next year though 😁
Jen does your voice get higher with adult beverages?
Hehe I don’t think so
I wonder if the wreath tossed into the water at the end was for the sailors that never came home?
That’s what Jen thought as well
I live in Savannah Ga and when they had Blessing's Of The Fleet In Thunderbolt The Wreath Was For Sailors Lost At Sea!

Apparently there wasn’t any major damage to Pivot in the collision?
Just some scuffed paint. Pivot needs a lot of paint touch ups after the deck project so will take care of it eventually! We were lucky!
While cruising how much fuel do you consume per hour? What is the average price of fuel?
