I loved all your wonderful ideas! I’m a card maker and these ideas are so helpful in encouraging play and creativity! Thank you! My favorite seems to be the one with tissue paper but I do love them all!
Thank you Barbara! I made a new video where I turned some of these backgrounds into art pages/ cards :) I feel like some of my pages can almost be used as cards :) So if you have some spare time, here is the link: th-cam.com/video/W5emd-Lrhvc/w-d-xo.html Big hugs! xx
My favorite is the one with the paper towel, and the one with the coarse salt in gray/pink tones. I really like the technique of the reverse stencil, I use it as often as the one with powdered pigments and the stamps it is besides you who taught me this technique with powders 👍🧡 thank you for that, I find the result great every time 🤩
Thank you for all these new ideas! I am really looking forward to try some of them. Please show us the end results what you did with these backgrounds! I would really appreciate that!
Thank you so very much! Some of the backgrounds I already turn into projects and you can find them here: th-cam.com/video/W5emd-Lrhvc/w-d-xo.html The rest willl follow :) xx
Love the ideas! I live in Holland and get my craft supplies from Craftelier. They ship throughout Europe and have pretty awesome deals. The cream paste is in stock atm.
GREAT VIDEO!!! Love all these fabulous backgrounds!!! Great job! I I'll make these. Good for cards or tags or journal pages. Love your channel! TFS!!! Austin TX USA
Love, love, love all the backgrounds! Asia, I so enjoy listening to your commentary…you are so funny! I am always chuckling at what you say, and I do answer when you ask questions! 😄😄I am so glad I found yr channel! ❤❤
Thank you so much Terri! That means a lot! I always wanted to make people laugh :)And not so long ago I had a comment that it's impossible to understand me, so you give me hope that this is, maybe, not the case :) BTW, here is a new video of mine, if you have a spare time :) th-cam.com/video/W5emd-Lrhvc/w-d-xo.html Big hugs! xx
Thank you so much Marlena! Here is my new video where I turn some of these backgrounds into projects :) th-cam.com/video/W5emd-Lrhvc/w-d-xo.html Big hugs! xx
A really inspirational video with lots of cool backgrounds 😊 I follow you for years on instagram and now also on TH-cam. Only a few weeks, I think...and nevertheless you have inspired me a few times with your youtube videos. thank you for your ideas😍🥰 by the way, I'm a cardmaker 😉 but years ago I had an art journal...maybe I should use it again
Thank you so very much! I am so happy you follow me and get inspired a little :) Being a crad maker does not mean you can't come back to art journaling :) I feel like some of my art journal pages look like cards :) BTW I turned a first bunch of these backgrounds into art journal/ cards in my new video: Here is a new video of mine, if you have a spare time :) th-cam.com/video/W5emd-Lrhvc/w-d-xo.html Big hugs! xx
Don't know if you already knew this technique, but have you tried to make those dots with an actual balloon? You need an inflated balloon and just dip its bottom into the paint and place it on paper like that. I have seen this technique in another video on TH-cam and it is an amazing technique. Maybe you can do a video while you play with it. Love your videos and your ideas! Would love to see more of the type you did in your video when you used watercolor abstract background and used a golden uni ball pen. Love these type of abstract vivid little paintings! ❤
Thank you so much Suzi! I saw the ballon technique, never tried it though :) Maybe I will :) There will always be doodling on watercolors on my channel :) Can't tell you how often, but I love doodling and watercolors, so you can expect it! :) Big hugs!
@@LemonCreationART no, not doodling. You used the golden uni ball pen to place a small dot inside of the little squares you made with the stamp on watercolor background. I love gold ink and anything gold really, so that is what I would be more interested in to see. Maybe stamping with gold ink? I think it would look really nice.
Fantastic!!! Thanks for sharing!!! Have you ever tried putting down some watercolor paints on watercolor paper then place some cling wrap on top while it’s still wet & move the cling wrap around, allowing them to dry overnight? You’ll get some cool abstract textures once it’s dry, when you remove the cling wrap. I learned this technique from 1 of the many watercolor artists I follow on TH-cam. Let me know how you like it, once you try it out.
Thank you so much! Also, for the tip :) I did it already once or twice, but I think results depends on how much you move the cling film around and I think I didn't do it enough :) SOmething to try again ;) Here is a new video of mine, if you have a spare time :) th-cam.com/video/W5emd-Lrhvc/w-d-xo.html Big hugs! xx
Oh my goodness, Asia, these are all beautiful. I really love them all! But if I had to choose one favourite, for me it is the tin foil technique. I am looking for inspiration for more card designs. I sell mine in some local shops and at craft fairs. I've found that a mixed media or grunge look are popular with many, especially on cards for men/boys. Thank you so much. I'm going to use your stencils for these techniques as well! 😊 Hugs! 💖
Hi Laura! That's so cool you make cards you can sell! And I am happy I gave you an idea for grungy look :) Thank you so much for watching! Big hugs!!! and happy cardmaking! ;)
Lol! Banksy is an artist :) I am a crafter, who calls herself an artist sometimes, because I am not really a crafter ;) Confusing 🤣 But thank you Joyce! xx
@LemonCreationART You are definitely an artist. We all are, even when we just play and you certainly create some unique pieces that more than deserve the title of art! Also, I recently made up a word... crAftist🤣🤣🤣
Yes, you can! I do use stamps with acrylics even, but you will need to clean them well afterwards; I think gouche will behave similarly to watercolors, so cleaning will be easy as well; If you decide to use acrylics one day, you need to immediately wash them n warm water with soap. As alwasy- all depends on the stamp, paper and amount of water used, so experimenting is necessary :)

Nice background techniques! Stamperia paste is great but I have to order from the west coast.
That's the thing- they are not easily available . Well, it's worth the search :) Big hugs Priscilla! xx
Cream paste readily available in Australia, also on eBay and Amazon
Thank you, although I can't find it here at the moment. xx
Love it❤
Thank you! xx
I feel the same way about “perfect”
Thank you Rhonda! Overrated! :) 😘
An easy way to make any acrylic paint or medium matte is to simply add chalk powder or talcum powder.
Also chalk or talcum powder with water and pva glue makes a good cheap texture paste.
Thnka you so much for the tip! xx
Do you think I can use the stamps with watercolor or gouache paints for these techniques?
Yes, you can! I do use stamps with acrylics even, but you will need to clean them well afterwards; I think gouche will behave similarly to watercolors, so cleaning will be easy as well; If you decide to use acrylics one day, you need to immediately wash them n warm water with soap. That is good to know as I had no idea how to clean them in case I would use acrylic paintings. Thank you so much!!! 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
