This project will be the sharing of a special experience in which we hope you will want to participate.
Some of the musicians are established and famous, others are among the brilliant budding talent that adorns Pakistan’s musical scene. Each of the mehfils has a distinct atmosphere and mood, but there is a common thread. We asked each of the musicians to stay close to their respective inherited musical traditions, allowing the singers an opportunity to present some pieces that are rarely heard today.
We are inspired to present the brilliance of this contemporary Pakistani vocal music to a wider audience and seek your financial assistance in making this possible.

Seems like it was only yesterday that I first saw this video, but the cruel timeline tells me it's been five years. In this expanse of time we lost this great artist. At least I can tell my children that I was present when the dream journey first started their journey, introducing these great artists to us. I thank you for that.

Coke studio - how could you ignore this talent ? Proud of you dream journey
We're a niche product minus the fusion. Wish it would remain that way and those who appreciate these artists would arrange small gatherings to listen to them and support their art.
Coke Studio serves a different and large community of listeners. While there is often an overlap some of us feel that traditional music should remain in its pure form.
The Dream Journey . agreed n we need that purity and thanks a lot for that, however such talent exposed at larger platform would get much deserved recognition, who knows contemporary instrumental fusions can do magic 😊
@@sairaahmed3146 Sadly Khansaheb hasn't been well since a few months. Let's hope he can participate if invited. Coke studio has done a great service to Pakistani listeners and to music in general. However it has also helped dilute a rich culture that we should learn to value in it's original form. Kitna burger aur pizza khaayen aakhir....musically I mean. I fear that one day the entire world will start to look the same and our culture will cease to be distinct in any manner.

Ustad Ameer Ali Khan is such a superlative singer in the classical tradition, but my heart bleeds that he doesn’t get the recognition that he truly deserves. His gayiki is masterful.
After listening ustad ji now I am watching his 6th song....such a great singer ......but he is no more ....RIP..... Thanks to this channel.....keep it up....love from Delhi

By the way, the translation is always very apt & truly conveys the feelings and emotions of the original verse, which is a very difficult task especially in case of poetry.
