If anyone listened to the podcast which none of y’all have and it shows, she was having a lighthearted conversation. She was ASKED about the most embarrassing moment that happened to her, and she explained the encounter with Malik. She wasn’t trying to be a “villain” or be a “jerk”, because she felt truly embarrassed because she didn’t know Malik would be upset about it.. but she quickly took the photo down when he DMd her. She didn’t make a big deal out of it. It was only brought up because the INTERVIEWER asked her about an embarrassing moment. She wanted to share because she thought of that moment, and wasn’t trying to play victim or make Malik look bad because she continuously complimented him and said nothing but good things about him in the podcast. Wow like you need to chill for real and watch the podcast. Everyone getting so bent out of shape and attacking Rachel for no reason only because she spoke about a moment she truly felt bad for, and it was all in good love.

I get him, he's a completely different person in that picture. He was just before the Oscar nominations and he's in a business where public image plays a huge part in how he's perceived. One bad photo from the past and the illusion or carefully established image can be damaged. This news came from a podcast she did with Dax Shepard in which he brought up the fact he had once met Malek, and implied Malek was perhaps eccentric, and knowing she had gone to highschool with him, he asked her what he was like. Her comments were all good natured, but I think the subtext was they felt he had gone "Hollywood".

I think Rami wasn't upset about the way he looks in that photo. He was mad about the fact that somebody he hasn't had a relationship with him for a long time is suddenly thinking about posting a picture of him. Some people might see it as an homage, but Rachel maybe wasn't that nice to him in high school, or that close, and fact that she publicly discloses what was said in a private message confirms -she is not that nice- Posting things on social media purposely to make someone feel down and/ or sharing how your post made someone feel down is self-absorbed and inconsiderate.

If you post an unflattering photo of someone on social media and they ask you to please take it down, then the considerate thing to do would be to respect their request. If anyone listened to the podcast which none of y’all have and it shows, she was having a lighthearted conversation. She was ASKED about the most embarrassing moment that happened to her, and she explained the encounter with Malik. She wasn’t trying to be a “villain” or be a “jerk”, because she felt truly embarrassed because she didn’t know Malik would be upset about it.. but she quickly took the photo down when he DMd her. She didn’t make a big deal out of it. It was only brought up because the INTERVIEWER asked her about an embarrassing moment. She wanted to share because she thought of that moment, and wasn’t trying to play victim or make Malik look bad because she continuously complimented him and said nothing but good things about him in the podcast. Wow like you need to chill for real and watch the podcast. One bad photo from the past and the illusion or carefully established image can be damaged. I think Rami wasn't upset about the way he looks in that photo. He was mad about the fact that somebody he hasn't had a relationship with him for a long time is suddenly thinking about posting a picture of him. This is a strange story. He looks good in that high school picture. And if it’s a weight issue, why not turn it into an empowering story about how hard he’s worked to look the way he does today? I’m sure many people can relate to the concept of self-improvement that boosts your self-esteem. Instead, asking her to take it down makes him come across as a control freak, which isn’t inspiring. Now if he doesn’t like her and he feels as if she was riding his coattail, that’s weird, too. She was already famous when she posted it. Anyway, it would’ve been better for him to just ignore her post. I don’t really see her sabotaging him when the only “flaw” about the picture is his weight. Or is it the chain? I can’t find anything “offensive” in that image besides those two things.
